The link with Stefanovic is surprising considering how many defenders we have a thte club. However, Stevie Smith is still and doubt (his injury reminds me of the Christian Nerlinger achillies injury that took ages and ages to heal) Murray doesn't appear to be highly rated and Papac & Broadfoot seem to be played out of position. I always thought that Stefanovic was a CB not a LB...

Looks to me like we're short of a couple of full backs although Broadfoot, Papac and Whittaker can all fill in, and Adam too at a push. But with Smith's injury looking ominous, a left back seems like a priority.

 

A creative, central midfielder would be good too, for when Ferguson is injured or suspended, unless Buffel can fulfill that role.

 

I still think Buffel and Ehiogu are not really in the plans and Smith's absence is enforced, leaving a current first team of 22. A bit thin for the long term.
