The club needs a certain amount of privacy to get important things done.

Some people are always demanding information.

These demands are almost never accompanied by any justification.

Where did i say i was demanding information?  And as fans is it to much to expect a little bit of direction from them.   The statement today could have and should have been made earlier.    Its great the keep the media in the dark for obvious reasons but for the amount of money and backing the board gets from the likes of us i think we deserve a little bit better.

I've not read it tbh. Do you not think these things are mostly ghost-written though?

It's hard to believe that anyone reads anything in that paper.

Like the rest of us, you'll get all the statements and direction you need ... when the time is right.

A friend of mine whos brother works at Ibrox (not on the football side) said John Terry was on the shortlist. Not sure if thats the rumour among the staff or an actual inside line on things.

Can't possibly see how Terry would be on the shortlist but Lampard wasn't.  Not that I want Lampard but he has at least been a manager in his own right.

From the moment Gerrard arrived at Rangers there was incessant reference to his ultimate destination at Liverpool, the inference being that Rangers could only ever be a stepping stone on his march to a far greater destiny. It always irritated me that this universal truth was meekly accepted by every Rangers fan, not because aspiring to manage Liverpool was a bad thing in itself but because our opinion of our own club had apparently slipped so much that we were happy to be used as a tool in the pursuit of someone else's ambitions. Maybe now the fans of Aston Villa can take their turn to be the road under Gerrard's feet.

There are people out there who would still see managing Rangers as an end in itself. Hopefully one of them will be chosen to be our next assistant manager, so that the meek really might inherit the Earth one day.

I personally know of one.  He has zero desire to manage in the EPL - the ONLY job that matters to him is the Rangers job.  Would be delighted if Gio comes in and brought him with him as assistant, though it won't happen unfortunately.

How can they inform the fans and yet keep the media in the dark ? :roflmao:
