Press Conference Giovanni Van Bronckhorst | 22 Nov 2021

I liked that he wanted to address the players collectively and give his thoughts on yesterday, rather than get drawn into a frenzy through the media.

And a fresh start for everyone.  If you're good enough, you're old enough, etc.

No more favourites who play regardless of form.

I think we needed to hear some of that right now.

Heard it all before just get that team out there playing attractive winning football ,play with a bit of style instead of like shot shy robots

Yeah but he's hardly likely to say he's selling all the players, that all the players are sh1t, that they are woeful etc......

He deserves time to assess the squad, pass on his ideas and "look them in the eye" and get a feeling if they want to be part of his Rangers team / squad. Then it's up to the players to knuckle down, train hard, listen to and implement Gio's vision and get back to last season's levels.

Players will come and go, but he is highly unlikely to change from his trusted 4-3-3 with tweaks depending on the opposition and how they set up, or change the entire starting 11.

There was nothing in that press conference that informed anyone, nor should we have expected any surprises. What we need to see are tangible changes in the team and tactics that make tomorrow look a better bet than today.
