Is there anyone currently in the B team thats showing any promise?

Adam Devine  Weston Mayo king Kelly Kennedy  Mcpake.  Take your pick.  You have to wonder if its worthwhile form any of these kids to hang about.   If Patterson couldnt get a game with his talent then the writing must be on the wall for the rest of them.

Strange take on it!.

NP signing for Everton is exactly the reason the academy is there! like Gilmour before him.

To get into the 1st team they have to be better than the current player in his position, right now Tav is a better player and that is why he can't get more game time.

I would rather see Patterson stay, however totally understand why he will sign for Everton, it's the best thing for him and the club at this time. NP is a cracking player and I wish him all the best, I'm certain he will have a great career, a  player Rangers produced.

I just hope that whoever has done this transfer deal has put in a good sell on clause because if he's a success at Everton they wont be able to hold on to him .

Getting £10m+ for someone who isn't starting matches is terrific business for Rangers.

Good luck to Patterson.

I'm sure we'd all love to see young Rangers fans play for the first team but the club needs to be making these sorts of sales on a regular basis, for financial reasons.

I'm sure the sell-on fee was the stumbling block and it appears that Wilson has won that battle and we will receive a % of any future sale.

I'm reluctant to let him go, but that fee, alongside the sell-on clause, is too good to turn down.

Does that cover our outgoings this year? I can't remember.

I would hope to see some of the cash made available to GvB, though.

We need some wingers.

Skov Olsen rumour refuses to disappear.

Lad wants to play, and to play as RW, and not RWB, apparently.

Have we had any success with Danish wingers in the past....?

I really don't think there's much in it. Tav gets the game time and is therefore match fitter.

From a medium term footballing viewpoint, it's a backwards move as Patterson could be our RB for the next 10 years, but we need the cash now and we need to win the league this season and Tav is the safer bet, so Patterson has to go, but I'm gutted about it.

Players come, players go. Few ever leave as big a hole as some fans think they will. Players have to be pragmatic about their careers, managers have to be pragmatic about the performance and evolution of their team. There's little room for sentimentality, only fans have that luxury.
