Hampden was everything to Hibs. Last night meant little to them. That's how it is for small clubs, they only have to turn up for a few games a season. And it showed.

 

We, on the other hand, have to win every game whether we turn up or not. And we did.

Being top of the spfl is no gauge of how good a team we are.   We found that out when we got horsed out the CL qualifiers ar the beginning of the season.    I suggest quite a few in here take a reality check.    Our squad is no where near good enough for the CL  and does need a major rebuild if were going to compete.   But hey if your happy watching mediocre football and hope were going to click the next game fill your boots.   I'd much rather start the rebuilding  now than wait till next summer.   By then quite a few of our players will be leaving wether we want them to or not.  Goldson is off.  Kamara and hagi will be close behind and I wont be surprised if they go at the next transfer window.   Barasic kent and aribo wont be here after the summer either.    Davis will surely be retiring as will mcgregor.   Gio has a big job on his hands.    Probably bigger than he imagined after watching them in  the flesh much like gerrard we too many players that have ran their course at the club and need to move on.

We're not going to win every match comfortably by playing nice football.  It's Scotland!

 

I agree we've been disappointing this season but melodramatic tirades, after an important victory in a difficult away match when a new manager has just arrived, are as ridiculous as they are pointless.

Off course we're miles off being a CL team. Where have you been since 2011/2012? Oh and for the record, we've been miles of being a CL team since 1992/1993 with 1 or 2 exceptions. 

 

How are we to suddenly turn into a team that constantly gets access to CL money? Winning the league of course, so being top of the SPFL is an indication as if we don't win the league, we don't get to CL - quite simple really. 

 

Have you looked at how our European coefficient has increased over the last 3 or 4 years? If it wasn't for our victories and runs in Europa League, we wouldn't be gaining automatic qualification to the CL group stages and the £30M that would guarantee us. 

 

Some Rangers fans do need a reality check. Maybe go on Rangers Archives and watch is struggle in the lower leagues, watch Motherwell embarrass us home and away in the play off final, watch Raith Rovers beat us in the Ratners Cup Final (or whatever it was called). 

 

Then look at where we are now despite having no money to spend - it's night and fucking day.
