[FT] Aberdeen 1 - 1 Rangers (Hagi 20)

A very poor and overly defensive second half and we got what we deserved.

Important not to over-react but that wasn't good enough right across the 90mins and whilst we can excuse rustiness, we need to find our sharpness and fast.

A bit awkward when Clancy see the blood streaming down Barisic’s face. “Aaah so he did elbow you in the face. Sorry about that, never mind. You have to go off the pitch for this last minute free kick now though.”

Certainly was a rusty performance. Looked like a team that hadn’t played together before. Slack passing, no pressure (Alfie excepted), bad decision making. Perfect opportunity for a poor referee to influence things. I hope that is a catalyst to strengthen in January.

I would have to think hard whether Aberdeen had a real shot on taregt bar the penalty, we gave them far too much respect from the off and hardly got our act together. We should have hooked Hagi and Kent much earlier, but the whole midfield display was rather ragged, and the balls from the back hardly found an intended target. Even before the penalty Aberdeen started to have a go for it, Kent`s absence didn`t really matter then.

Could say it again and again, we should have played with two strikers, as Morelos alone was hardly able to press their defenders on his own and Kent and Wright were not up there often enough.

We got a point and given the performance, we probably didn`t deserve more.

NB: What a sad sad human being Brown is ...
