Starting to sound like Kerryfail street on this thread blaming everyone except our own ineptitude to beat a mid table team .

Play like this against the hooped horrors and we will get a jolly good thumping.

We were poor last night. Looked an unorganised mess. Not sure what the shape or formation of the team was supposed to be.

Ref was terrible too but our non performance also had an impact.

We didn't play as a team basically and several players seemed uncertain of their role (when to press, when to sit, when to run etc) which was a concern after two weeks of preparation for this game.

We really need someone commanding in midfield (can we keep waiting for Jack) and more balance in an attacking sense.  Losing Aribo didn't help but Wright, Kent and Hagi were all very poor for the most part but, to be fair, lacked support and decent service.

It was a bad night but I'd like to think it's an exception.

Unfortunately for us, Nigeria and Cameroon look like the best teams at AFCON, and both are on opposite sides of the draw for the knockout stages.

I can see us being without Aribo for the duration of the tournament.
