[FT] RB Leipzig 1 - 0 Rangers

Worth acknowledging the effort from the players tonight. We really worked hard on our defensive shape and only a fantastic strike breached it in the end. 0-0 would have been better but it was a low block system we know well, erm, well done.

Two goals at Ibrox to go to a European Final... I'll take that. Fantastic effort from the players tonight. 2nd half was better. Would have liked to have seen Davis on too but who knows if that might have made a difference.

Bring on next Thursday and oh yeah there's a wee game on Sunday

With a bit more adventure we could have taken something  from the game.  We never really had a plan over the half way line.  Moving aribo up front was paying dividends in the second half but for some reason gio changed it.  Tactics were ok up to a point .   Much like the first lyon game we showed them far too much respect and got punished. Sands coming on was mind boggling  to say the least.  Bad decision making by Gio.

Excellent performance and well done to GVB for getting almost everything right. He set up exactly the right way.

I would quibble with keeping Wright on so long, and then the same for Aribo. But those are minor complaints in the grand scheme of things. All to play for.

...

Might even do it with one goal.
