Aye, me too, I think he'll grow into the team.

Unlike a fair few on here, I reckon big Souttar will be a great signing too.

He had a shaky start to the game against spurs but grew as the game went on.  Dont think hell see much euro action but hes the type you need for the dogged spfl.

I really think that squad is fine, although I would want another #8 or two, and a winger.

When I look at the different positions, I think there's good quality there.

They're not 'old', either. It's only Davis and Arfield from the midfield that are old. The defenders are around 30, which is not 'old' for defenders, and it's not as if there are no younger back-ups, there.

The issue is form; too many players out of form. But what happened to the old adage 'form is temporary...'?

Form is mostly down to the manager, IMO.

Is it possible that the 'philosophy' of

"No tricks, tricks are for the circus" is straitjacketing those players who have a trick, or two, in their locker, say, Kent, and Matondo, and is contributing, majorly,to lack of form?

A good point. Imagine a coach saying that to Baxter or Henderson. Or Gazza or Laudrup.
