True, although I'd argue like Bassey, Aribos stock will be at high right row. Just came off the back of a 70 games season where he played the first half really well, fell away about after AFCON but finished strongly, including a good performance leading the line in a EUROPA cup final and scoring a goal.

 

Next season he could get injured or just not play well and not be in the team. We as a team might not play well and underwhelm. Anything can happen in football.

he has run down his contract before......

If you are Ross Wilson, it becomes impossible to plan a transfer window without making certain assumptions about who you want to keep and who you want to sell, neither of which come with any certainties and will always be subject to the players' wishes. You can't guarantee what will come off but these starting assumptions must inform your activities. It would be fascinating to know how anyone approaches this situation. Our problem is that we have no idea what those assumptions might be.

And pick up a whopping signing on fee from a new club .

and prey you don't get injured or dropped. There is a reason so few do it.
