There was a similar reaction to Rafiq when that blew up... Maybe the game actually has a problem, rather than it being some sort of conspiracy?

All team sports have a racial mix. What's so special about cricket that warrants this media circus and tribunals.

 

That said, if these allegations are real then it's a problem to be rectified. If they're not then it's an even bigger problem.

Arguably sport in general reflects societal issues.

 

I'm not at all surprised that there are issues in cricket given what I assume to be a higher prevalence of ethnic players in the game.  I even spoke to an asian lad I know who plays and he said that the issues seemed to be more aimed at national level, eg. unspoken quotas on the number of asian in a team, people getting overlooked rather than selection on merit, stuff like that.

All of which could be imagined claptrap or, worse still, deliberate invention. Like almost all accusations of racism, victimhood is in the eye of the beholder and heavily dependent on opinion and heresay.
