I do think that's a shame though since I gained a great deal of insight from your first post in this thread.

 

I was sure that further posts would help us all to gain a deeper insight but it appears that this is not so.

I wonder why it is that other gersnetters don't seem too keen to get involved in a discussion with you...

I must admit that I have not given it much thought.

 

Since you bring it up though I will note that it is strange that so many threads are derailed in this way. Particularly while the O.P. is almost always infinitely more interesting.

All history is linear, however the Guardian's interpretation is skewed by declinism that often deliberately misses real progress.
