Andy Townsend (bless him, I did feel sorry), played for Chelsea in the early 90s, was seeking some sort of sympathy when he said 'back in them days' the top pros' were only on �£3000 a week. He was being serious. Thats where some footballers can be naive, and i cant stand the way they all say you dont really understand things in the game unless you have played - bullshit.
