Laudbertz 0 Posted June 8, 2006 Share Posted June 8, 2006 Lyon have rejected an offer from Rangers for midfielder Jeremy Clement - but admit the player is set on a move to Ibrox. Paul Le Guen has targeted the 21 year-old as he aims to build a title challenging team at Ibrox. However, the French club's general manager Marino Faccioli has revealed a firm bid of �£688,000 (1 million euros) has been rejected in the last 24 hours. He told the Daily Record:"Yes Rangers have made an offer but it was not enough for us and we have rejected it. "It is correct that the offer was for one million euros but we already have two or three better offers from some French clubs. "We have not said 'yes' to anyone at this moment because it appears the player is interested in Rangers so we are waiting for them to come back to us with a better offer. Perhaps by Friday we will have some more news." It is expected that Rangers will increase the offer for the player who is wanted by a host of French clubs including Monaco, Auxerre, Nice and Rennes.
