  1. Past hour
  2. What's strange about it? We've played like that all season? Some players tend to take up strange positions ... you'll find Tavernier near the penalty spot every other game, somewhere around the centre-circle etc.. All Hearts did was counter-attacking (like many teams do) and have the means to do so. We've been vulnerable to this for 5 years now, and with a makeshift line up, no wonder a Shankland chap grabs his chance. I'd bring Ridvan on at half time, maybe bring Silva on as another striker.
  3. We can't start next season with Dessers up front. Simple as that.
  4. We really need a Rangers AI to write our matchday posts. All the possession/missed chances/poor refereeing/awful defending/can't make simple passes/abysmal in final third/easily outmuscled etc etc etc. Would save us all a lot of time. At least the sun is shining...
  5. Their striker clinical = ours cant hit a barn door. Rinse and repeat
  6. It's a really strange setup from Clement. We've seemingly got loads of players who want to narrow in and head towards the penalty spot - playing diomande on the right of midfield makes that worse. 0 width. Or have I got this wrong?
  7. Excessive effort spend on creating chances and scoring goals, part 2,984. They have a couple of chances and score. Sick and tired of this one-striker trash that yields so little end product, no matter who's wearing the 9.
  8. We seem to be playing with some rather gay abandon at the moment little flicks and lobs and do I detect some pace in our team,
  9. If you want a reason for why slaughtering McCausland for his goal contributions is moronic, that's it. Dessers is almost offside when Ross plays that pass as well. There's sweet fa the boy can do if he's setting up 3 or 4 chances a game and the forwards are spooning those chances over the bar.
  10. Typical Dessers miss, he will score!. Another penalty denied
  11. Yahoo Robertson in black again, we are really "lucky" with our referees of late ...
  12. Mad how Raskin hasn't been given a chance. The difference in legwork and dynamism between him and Lundstram is pretty stark. He's started well.
  13. Today
  14. Given the status of the squad, there's not many surprises there. Manager had to find a balance between risk and minutes for players such as King, Davies, Raskin and McCausland to improve their sharpness. Silva from the bench may allow Dessers a rest as well. 3 points please!
  15. The daily dose of rumours ... Rangers are eyeing a summer move for Ferencvaros winger Adama Traore, according to reports. (Scottish Sun) Rangers in for Ferencvaros forward Adama Traore Adama Traore – the Ferencvaros forward rather than the Fulham one – is reportedly in Rangers’ sights, alongside Sturm Graz and, funnily enough, those aforementioned Cottagers. Africa Foot reports that the 54-time Mali international could leave Ferencvaros after two years and two Hungarian league titles. Traore, who started out at French side Metz but really hit his stride at Sherif Tiraspol, is due to become a free-agent in 2025. As such, Ferencvaros have to sell this summer or risk losing him for nothing later down the line. At 28, Traore is older than the players Rangers have tended to target during the early days of the Philippe Clement and Nils Koppen.
  16. Butland Tavernier - King - Davies - Fraser Diomande - Raskin McCausland - Cantwell - Wright Dessers Subs: McCrorie, Ridvan, Silva, Jack, Sima, Dowell, Sterling, Yfeko, McKinnon In defence, there is hardly any option. Ridvan will probably be spared for the cup final. In the defensive midfield we are a bit "light", Raskin is snappy, Diomande is confident on the ball... but neither of them are physically strong people. Jack may come later for what will probably be his last appearance. I always liked the look of McKinnon, let's see... It's not that much at stake, so rotation is also important in the offensive department with a view to the cup final. McCausland and Wright deserve their chance, with Cantwell and Dessers we have to hope that no one gets injured.
  17. Just on the face of their age in years, that lineup is 25.3 years old. That's much more like the age profile we need to be getting down to imo, maybe even a year younger than that. We were fielding teams which were getting towards 30 years old as an average at points this season, when you're finishing second that's criminal. Obviously you want the quality married with the potential of the young players and injuries have no doubt forced than lineup somewhat, but it at least looks mobile and athletic.
  18. It's a dead rubber. All eyes on next Saturday.
