  1. Past hour
  2. Not to sound like captain obvious but we also need to install a 'No Dickhead Policy', for want of a better term, when scouting potential targets. Thorough background and character references - players who show up well in a dressing room and against adversity. Players who want to be the best they can be rather than coming to collect a big signing on fee and paycheck. We've had some pull out of playing because they aren't 100% imo. That's not on. Maybe I'm shouting at the clouds though - I'm just fed up of seeing a team full of 'crocks' and chancers.

  4. Ridvan is another fully paid up member of the ‘ always injured’ fraternity
  5. Anyone who rates Ridvan should be automatically disqualified from the position of DoF.....
  6. @Rousseau will be appointing the Director of Football. He's too modest to reveal this. And, he couldn't take the cut in wages to do it himself.
  7. Is our only hope that Celtic sign Harry Kane?
  8. the germans could maybe go for mick beale he's available
  9. We have given them stupid big contracts for players who had already peaked.
  10. There are many possibilities, just like picking your own favourite serial killer. I think Matondo goes under the radar. never seems to be fit for more than 3 games.
  11. I don't disagree with the retained list but I just can't see how we shift Tav and Goldson outwith Saudi money. Both have 2 years left (criminal), legs have completely gone and have a really poor recent CV (post Seville). Although I am encouraged by the links we've had in the market in recent weeks. Qerfeld, Cordoba and Mofokeng are all players in markets we should be looking at at the right age profile too. Clement today saying we need to replace the experience that will be leaving is a nonsense though, the average age of the starting XI next season needs to come down by about 4 or 5 years compared to this - if that means it takes a couple of seasons to hit a groove and gel then so be it. And don't give me the pish that you don't win with youngsters either - Arsenal have a young team atm and are pushing City to the last day...but guess what? They'll get better and better. If there's Bosmans out there like Alzate or Ben Johnson to be done then by all means do it - but I want the actual transfer fee's spent on youth, athleticism and potential. Sellable assets basically. Hopefully this post makes sense.
  12. Final straw for both in my humble opinion 😉 Maybe Ridvan is our Darran Anderton Edit - I know there are a few candidates for that dubious honour 😀
  13. A few short weeks ago, Rangers was in poll position, in the the box seats, in the League, and we should be looking, today, at clinching the title, tomorrow, or next weekend. That we are not is mainly down to the players, aided by an horrendous injury list, if we were to be scrupulously fair. I have thought, on and off, for a while, that this season was, and is, a 'free hit' for M Clement and his coaching, etc. staff, and that this was known, understood, and agreed by him, and by the board, at Day 1. I concede that this is purely speculation, but when MB departed, did anybody really think that the team would have won the League Cup, reached the final of the Scottish, and been so in control of the League Championship that winning it was in its grasp? Did anybody really think that winning the 23/24 League Flag was a sine qua non for continued employment of manager and coaches? I don't think anybody did, and the reason for the general grumpiness, now, is that the opportunity to win the Title slipped, dashing raised expectations. (Continued capitulation to PIE FC did not help). I assume that manager and coaches have now a clear idea of who is worth their salt, and who isn't, who has the stones, and who doesn't, who is a malingerer, and who isn't, who has the talent, and who doesn't, whom they can trust, and whom they can't, who they can improve, and whom they can't, and so on.... If we can have a decent stab at putting names to these categories, then surely to God, a coaching team of guys who have played and coached professionally can see this with greater clarity. Next season is not, cannot and will not be a 'free hit', and the Key Performance Indicator must be: Win the fucking League.
  14. His latest injury was really frustrating. We were told that he was 50/50 of making the OF game at Ibrox, then we were told he was a week away. He still hasn't started a game since his injury. So either the injury was not diagnosed correctly or the medical updates given to PC from the medical team were incorrect (or worse, both). I picked up a comment from PC last week where he said the medical team tell him how many minutes a player can play, he then decides if that player starts, or comes on. Is he receiving erroneous information?
