  3. Just been doing my early trawl of the sports pages and see in one that Kamara is stalling about a new contract so if that's the case put a price on the man and sell him

  5. For Kenny Miller read James Traynor. IMO "leaks" still came out of Ibrox until the now PR board came in.

  6. I may be in the minority but I have always liked transfer rumours, pish or not! maybe it's just because of the fact there is no football, each to their own I guess!

  7. A couple of years ago we located the final resting place of Rangers player David Hill in an East Kilbride cemetery. Restoration work has now been carried out and a memorial plaque placed at the base. David Hill was born in 1858 in Perth. He joined Rangers in 1875 and played with the Club until 1884. He’s pictured here with his Rangers team mates in that iconic photograph from 1877. David went on to become a Scottish Internationalist and gave the club many years of service. David was employed as a Turkey Red salesman and lived at 17 Main Street East Kilbride. His house was above the two shops pictured that he owned. David Hill married a Jane Isobel Campbell Storer on the 2nd June 1904. He died on 3rd February 1920 at 4 Ann Street Glasgow aged 61. David saw Rangers grow from that fledging club born in a Glasgow park into Ibrox and huge attendances. As we continue to celebrate our 55th Title we remember David Hill.

  8. That would be a good idea but unfortunately this topic was set up with the express purpose of amplifying the noise. Some people find silence a challenge too far.

  9. Do players ever sign the first offer? Additionally, two sets of people I wouldn't trust are football agents and tabloid journalists. Ignore the noise...

  10. Totally agree. Rangers were unincorporated between 1872 and 1899. One company then ran the club between 1899 and 2012 and another company from 2012 onwards. Likewise Celtic. Celtic PLC was incorporated in 1897. Are people trying to argue that Celtic was formed in 1897 and not 1888? However, the actual football club (the company that plays their games) is Celtic F.C Limited (formerly HMS (402) Ltd) which was formed in 2001. Was the current Celtic formed in 2001? Or perhaps a football club is not tied to the corporate body that currently operates the club. It's not a difficult concept to understand but it seems that even educated lawyers struggle with the concept.

  14. Well owing to us moving from Glasgow to Wandsworth aged 4, i support Chelsea with 2nd club Gers, whereas my dad, brothers and uncles all support Gers with some having their 2nd team as Chelsea. I loved in when Derek Johnstone signed for Chelsea in 1983 and also Chelsea players going the other way like Durie, Flo, Spencer and Wilkins. I also had a liking for Cowdenbeath - didnt know anything about them, but me and a pal wanted to choose a unfancied team and I liked the home supporters end - The Cowshed My friend chose Stenhousmuir again without knowing anything about them. Having worked in Munich a bit, i started following 1860 Munchen as i couldnt get my head around one city with one huge club and a tiny minnow club. And i do look out and occasionally go to my local team Dartford in national league South.
