  1. Has Peter voted on behalf of Dundee yet? Or, has Peter decided Dundee's vote is to be misplaced, again? Do Dundee know how Peter voted on their behalf?

  2. The Daily Record are waiting on Peter's deliberations upon Ping-Pong not being able to raise his ding-dong for the expected sing-song. Oh, my days!

  4. He is going to have a very difficult time legally once he is out of office, is my prediction. He already is in a very difficult legal position with so many ongoing investigations/law suits, except right now he has a pet Attorney General that is willing to go into bat for him, even instructing government lawyers to try and intervene and act for the President personally. Hence why Trump is desperate to hold onto power as he no longer be able to wield executive privilege. My take with this SCOTUS challenge on mail in ballots and him suggesting there is fraud, is that he is trying to make as much noise as possible as a negotiating tactic. "Let me leave the White House with the promise of no prosecution, and I'll go quietly, drop the legal challenge and peacefully transfer power". Fair play to an extent. He has been telling us for months that this is exactly what he intends to do.

  7. History Repeating Itself? The reason I began this thread, and the reason why occasionally I return is because I knew ra Bhoy in Corduroy would resort to his habitual lazy practices. In the past, Graham has resorted to make belief and lies to support his conclusions. For a decade at Scotland on Sunday, his Sports Editor was Kevin McKenna and Spiers decided to prioritise satisfying Kevin, whereas his colleagues Kevin McCarra and Jonathon Northcoat satisfied their professionalism. The latter two went on to become national(British) broadsheet columnists and Editors, Graham is the football Journo for the Times(Scotland), under 15,000 daily sales. BBC Scotland cancelled Graham's Golf Show and he was left needing to support three Sellik season tickets(himself and two boys) on a modest income. Podcasts, particularly Podcasts with a specific litany of Sellik supporting/Rangers hating guests are a sure thing. However, give Spiersy several weeks and he will resort to type. He conducted a 45 minute Podcast with Hibs boss, Jack Ross and having taken subscriptions, he broadcast the former St Mirren Gaffer's reflections on Sunderland, the emotional support provided by Brendan(yep, that Brendan), and his own take on Ross's emotional intelligence. The following Saturday arrives and the Times(Scotland) Editor requires a build-up piece for the Edinburgh Derby that is the Scottish Cup semi-final that evening. Spiers provides by committing his Podcast to print, word for word. The lazy bum is paid twice for the same material and what's left of the Times readership in Scotland are recipients of Spiers sloppy seconds. It will happen soon, he will resort to appearing on 'the View from the Terrace' fingering his organ to a soundtrack of Elton John melodies.

  10. The reality is that if Biden wins the election, we'll quickly see that Trump wasn't actually the "problem". It won't change anything - the racial insurrection will continue, the climate fanaticism will continue, the attacks of the instruments of government will continue, the weakening of western economies will continue and the cultural decadence of the first world will continue. Biden will suffer the same attacks as Trump did the minute he opposes any of these trends.

  13. Agree. I used to go to the RSC in Stratford a lot. I don't like Shakespeare in modern dress. So passe.

  15. For me it is immaterial who wins - tweedledum or tweedledee. Biden really has nothing new to offer the unemployed, the blacks, women etc. But it will be amusing to see what happens the next time the US complains about electoral practices in countries where it is none of their business e.g. Venezuela. Or China say.

  17. In days gone by, I went to the theatre every now and then and enjoyed some plays with people dressed in costumes appropriate to the narrative, e.g. 30-years war clothes for Wallenstein or tunics for something from antiquity. These days, before even contemplating to buy a ticket, I check pictures of what awaits you at the theatre these days, as I don't want to see e.g. Shakespeare in trench-coat, bikini or some fancy glittering plastic stuff. Yet, that is what you get 9 out of 10 times at the theatre or opera these days, utterly mad. On a similar note, when the German national team appears and 8 out 11 players are non-"Caucasians" (whoever tought this up), you do start to wonder. I know it is different in Britain ... well, make that England, due to the Commonwealth and colonies background, but for Germany it is still a strange thing to see. Not that people object to that - bar the few braindead every country have - yet it makes you wonder that these chaps from essentially minorities produce more talented footballers these days than the "white" Germans. Then again, the latter's kids are more willing to win wars and games at Playstation and high-end gaming PCs rather than slogging it out in the cold and rain themselves.

  20. This is Scotland, the land of clans. Clans who first and foremost look after themselves and if it suits their cause will lump in with others (for a time, i.e. as long as it serves their self interest), not least when it is about money (even short-sighted money grabbing excercises). To expect even 10 of them reach a consensus is stretching it. 42 is downright idiocy and a pure time wasting. Then again, the latter is exactly what happened during the vote stuff earlier this year, offering a few snacks to to the gullible along the way (reconstruction, anyone?). If there is one thing that may come of this, it might be that the SPFL/SFA high-ones (are they not essentially the same people?) decide that "democracy" isn't the way forward and thus they hand themselves powers to do it on their own. People may argue that this is not possible, but ever since 2012 and even a few months back. we have seen that "being beyond imagination" isn't something said high-ones are limited by. BTW, exchange clan with club at your leisure.

  22. I'm not surprised politicians and the like enjoy their authority growing arms and legs. What surprises and saddens me is the general public who not only turn a blind eye to all this but some actually applaud and support it. The Tories winning with a landslide should have marked an end to this creeping illiberal nonsense but it has continued regardless. I wonder if the looming financial crisis and unemployment will result in a backlash - I would hope so, otherwise the game is over.

  23. Not just Hopeless Useless and the SNP. The English Law Commission has come up with something similar. Have lawyers given up protecting the liberties of Her Majesty’s subjects? Unlikely the Government will promote legislation and no chance it would get through the Commons if it did.
