What did they sing specifically in relation to the deaths of fans?  I only heard GSTK and the usual 'always the victims' one, which is more of a general point about that support and their never-ending hypocrisy.

Agreed. Liverpool fans are claiming that it's about the deaths, but there's loads of examples of Liverpool claiming to be the victims, their refusal to be respectful to the royal family because of Margaret Thatcher (go figure) being one.

  2. I should preface my comments with the fact that I watched the game from a low down Hampden seat so couldn't really see much of the game that well.

Although Tav scored twice, his crossing, particularly in the first half was dreadful.

I thought Lundstram had a great game but I'm going with Danilo. His constant running was excellent and he won the important penalty. He's improving all the time.

  3. Impossible to limit it to one

At - winning the league at Parkhead on 1999 while they humiliated themselves on and off the park. And the Leipzig game.

Not at - Leeds away in 92, which I ended up having to watch in the Edmiston Club. And Helicopter Sunday, which was so unexpected.

The issue being masked here is how these flares were gotten into the ground. Said on the match thread the average fan can't get in with a bottle of water but Ultras some how manage to get flares in.

Dundee might better served asking Police Scotland and their stewards how this was allowed to happen.

Do all away fans get searched going into grounds these days?

It's easy enough to get a bottle of water into Ibrox. Well it is for me, but I don't look like I'm in the UBs, so maybe there's a difference.

  5. That diagram still has player positions. Yes, players can have different roles within their positions depending on their skillset, to put it in most basic terms, but there are still positions. That's always been the case.

It's not necessarily tactical either. Looking at our full backs, Tav, Sterling, Borna and Ridvan are all different and would do different roles based on their skillset, but they aren't able to switch to a different role particularly well.

Hateley and McCoist were always target and finisher and were always referred to in that way, so it's hardly a new concept either. Souness always wanted Hateley as a target man and when he couldn't get Hateley he went out and got Drinkell

  6. And not forgetting their pro-independence sister "newspaper" The National, which is no friend of ours either.

The Rangers Review is sadly from the same stable and help keep afloat the aforementioned blats, and that's why I boycott it.

    That's not offense.

That's exchanging the ball, just long enough for the other team to get in their defensive posture.

    Then abruptly returning the favor.

This succession happens until one side commits a defensive 'error' so profound that one is compelled to score.

After years of watching I think I finally have this racket worked out.

You missed my (perhaps poor attempt at a) joke, mate. It was a play on the word offence, and there's one club who are constantly taking offence.

It's not just the constant negativity, it's the force and toxicity of the negativity.

This thread and the forum in general is a perfect example, never mind the wider support.

While I agree to an extent, I don't believe this forum is anywhere as bad as twitter or some other forums for mindless abuse and where there seems to be joy in bad performances so that they can say "told you so".

The force and toxicity of the negativity do seem to be self-perpetuating, and while the team should be able to rise above it, it obviously IS having an effect on the performances.

Another footnote from today's game; big shout out to the UBs and Broomie Collective today. Whilst everyone around them were booing, shouting obscenities at our players, leaving early, they stayed behind the team and continually sang and encouraged the players / team. If only everyone else would do the same.

Yeah, the consistent negativity from sections of our support really pisses me off. The UBs keep going and credit to them for that
