    That's not offense.

That's exchanging the ball, just long enough for the other team to get in their defensive posture.

    Then abruptly returning the favor.

This succession happens until one side commits a defensive 'error' so profound that one is compelled to score.

After years of watching I think I finally have this racket worked out.

You missed my (perhaps poor attempt at a) joke, mate. It was a play on the word offence, and there's one club who are constantly taking offence.

It's not just the constant negativity, it's the force and toxicity of the negativity.

This thread and the forum in general is a perfect example, never mind the wider support.

While I agree to an extent, I don't believe this forum is anywhere as bad as twitter or some other forums for mindless abuse and where there seems to be joy in bad performances so that they can say "told you so".

The force and toxicity of the negativity do seem to be self-perpetuating, and while the team should be able to rise above it, it obviously IS having an effect on the performances.

Another footnote from today's game; big shout out to the UBs and Broomie Collective today. Whilst everyone around them were booing, shouting obscenities at our players, leaving early, they stayed behind the team and continually sang and encouraged the players / team. If only everyone else would do the same.

Yeah, the consistent negativity from sections of our support really pisses me off. The UBs keep going and credit to them for that

  4. I don't want to divert the thread but I'd also like to pay tribute to a Rangers supporting friend of mine who passed away in his mid 30s last week.

Fraser, aka @karma_polis on twitter and several names on FF (see the Campbeltown Bear thread on there) was well known in the Rangers community. Davie Edgar paid a nice tribute to him on the H&H Daily Update yesterday.

I used to meet up with him for lunch in Shawlands before games at Hampden. He was a good guy and I always enjoyed his company and his larger than life personality.

Sleep easy, Fraser. You'll be missed!

  5. Set up a new email address and reregister? Maybe try sending a DM on Twitter?

Edit - although the DM idea may not work given the new rules on twitter.

Once you've got a new profile on FF, you can always send admin a DM to try and recover your old profile.

  6. Brentford signed Mark Flekken for £11 million

Chelsea signed Djordje Petrovic as their reserve keeper for £14 million

Crystal Palace signed Dean Henderson for £15 million plus.

I'd be hoping that we get well in excess of £5 million.

As for Football Insider (source of above story), they're full of crap.

    Exactly!

It seems to me the point of campaigns like SRTRC is to reflect well on those who organise it.

True but Rangers have used it and similar things over a number of years to try and highlight to UEFA the steps that they were taking to prevent the issues that we were getting into trouble with. Although it seems to be a box ticking exercise, it can be of some help if hauled in front of UEFA's beaks.

Instead of being angry about those who break the rules why are you not questioning them?

    Questioning who?

I've done plenty of questioning in the past, having been involved in various things over the years. It's now up to younger bears to take up the mantle, but that doesn't stop me from highlighting the issues when I see them.

  9. Most of the team played really well.

Big improvement by Tav. Lundstrum and Raskin played well and Raskin got a goal. Big improvement from Dessers and set up a few things, made good runs and scored, and Sima took both of his goals really well.

I'm going to go for Lundstrum.

  10. The only conclusion that anyone can reach on Celtic's penalty on the 46th minute is that the game is corrupt. Kyogo fell to the ground trying to shield the ball with no interference from a Hearts player and yet the ref gave ab inexplicable penalty and VAR didn't see any reason to ask the ref to review it.

The laws are as amorphous as the slogans that promote them. It's all intentional. 'Racism'. Since we are all the human race WTF does that mean?

Operant conditioning for the plebian classes. There has to be someone, somewhere who comes up with this garbage just laughing their ass off. I know I would be.

I'm not a legal expert but possibly the banner in question would fall foul of the Hate Crime and Public Order (Scotland) Act 2021.

As for definitions of racism, Google is your friend there 😉😂

I did notice some banners and fans being removed from away end, but can't say I saw what the banners were. I was in Goan Front yesterday not my usual seat in Broomie.

I couldn't see what was happening but it may have been the Palestinian flag.

Something Leeanne Crichton said yesterday (I believe she's a bear?) That it was reflective of Beale that a fit John Souttar was ever on the bench.

    I'd agree, I think he's a superb player.

Souttar was blamed for a couple of goals earlier in the season and Davies came into the team and did well, so I'm not really sure where she's coming from.
