  1. Because they don't want to, or don't have the ability to? It shouldn't stop people giving their opinion on it, just because others don't bother, even though I accept it can be frustrating if you're one of the ones putting in the effort to create the tifo/atmosphere. The UBs are obviously trying to be edgy and presumably wouldn't expect everyone in the support to like everything they do. Personally I didn't particularly like the Bill banner as it meant nothing to me. I didn't have a clue who it was (I thought it was meant to be Billy Fullerton 😂), unlike the Eddie and Baseball ones that we had previously.
  2. There's obviously been a lot of speculation about the alleged £1m compensation/cancellation fee that we have received for not buying Tillman. I was just listening to Davie Edgar on today's Daily Update and he described it differently, and I hadn't heard this take before. We indicated that we wanted to buy him and Bayern immediately activated the buy-back clause that they had built in so effectively we got the difference, which was around £1m. This makes sense and it probably a more realistic take on what happened. In addition, there is a sell-on fee so we would get a percentage of the €14m(?) fee that PSV have agreed with Bayern.
  3. While some of the individual performances weren't all we could hope for, as a team I think we did perform well, particularly given the quality of the opposition. I'd agree about the pressing generally although there were times during the game when we did do it well. The likes of Cantwell and Dessers showed that they can keep going. Our passing, particularly by the midfield 3 was unusually poor and hopefully it'll improve next week with another game under our belts.
  4. Goldson and Souttar played well. Souttar was a wee bit unlucky with their second goal. Cantwell played well but was lucky not to get a second yellow. I thought Sima and Dessers both did well as well, although I've heard quite a few people slagging them off but I obviously watched a different game. I'm giving it to Dessers too.
  5. In what way are they out of context? if the whole thing was faked then it would have taken a couple of days to establish that and the whole thing would have been put to bed rather than take over 18 months to sort out. I'm not saying that he should be punished for the rest of career, but it certainly appears that there's a whitewash going on. The 2 main differences are that the evidence in these cases weren't plastered all over social media by the victim and Rangers didn't attempt to claim anyone's innocence. I accept that they are difficult cases but I just disagree with how Man Utd have handled it.
  6. I don't believe that he was found innocent. The case was dropped due to "withdrawal of key witnesses and new material that came to light". It's hard to prosecute if his fiancé, being the only witness, withdraws. There appears to me to be some emotional coercion involved. We've heard the tape and seen the pics of what he did.
  7. So they asked his fiancé (the victim) who has been coerced into retracting her statement and Man Utd conclude that he didn't do what the tape clearly shows he did. I always thought Man Utd had an element of class about them but they've lost a whole load of respect from me over this whitewash, which is obviously an attempt to maximise his transfer value. Scummy behaviour.
  8. Manchester United has concluded its internal investigation into the allegations made against Mason Greenwood. Our process commenced in February 2023, following all charges against Mason being dropped. Throughout, we have taken into account the wishes, rights and perspective of the alleged victim along with the club’s standards and values, and sought to collate as much information and context as possible. This has required us to proceed with sensitivity and care to obtain evidence not in the public domain, including from those with direct knowledge of the case. Based on the evidence available to us, we have concluded that the material posted online did not provide a full picture and that Mason did not commit the offences in respect of which he was originally charged. That said, as Mason publicly acknowledges today, he has made mistakes which he is taking responsibility for. All those involved, including Mason, recognise the difficulties with him recommencing his career at Manchester United. It has therefore been mutually agreed that it would be most appropriate for him to do so away from Old Trafford, and we will now work with Mason to achieve that outcome.
  9. Matondo. Not everything he tried worked but he was still our most creative and threatening player. Shout out to Dowell. Disappointed in Sterling. Only his first game and he's got plenty of time but he'll do well to hold onto the backup right back position on today's showing.
  10. The Daily Update on H&H suggested that it won't matter what the SPFL board decide. Celtic won't give us any tickets and will just accept any resultant fine. If that is what happens then we should just cease any discussions with Celtic about the issue for the next few years as they can't be trusted to abide by rules or agreements.
  11. I really don't think so. It's based on their own fans complaining about both sets of OF support.
  12. This is probably a prelude to Celtic pushing to get the rules changed and getting a minimum percentage. However I'm not sure how much support they'd get from other clubs.
  13. We're asking them to insist that Celtic give us tickets. Rule i27 of the rules of the SPFL states: "The Home club must make provision for the admission of such reasonable number of visiting supporters at every home League Match and Play-Off Match as may be agreed in advance with the Visiting Club and, in the event of their being unable to agree such number not later than 14 days prior to the date of the League Match or Play-Off Match in question, the number of visiting supporters allowed shall be determined by the Board whose decision shall be final and binding."
  14. I'd keep Butland in the team. He's hardly played over the last year and every game will help improve his sharpness. Tav looks like playing every game is catching up with him so Sterling should definitely come in. I'd also rest Goldson to ensure he's fit for midweek.
  15. My guess would be Butland Tav Goldson Souttar Barasic Cifuentes Jack Raskin Lammers Cantwell Danilo
  16. And the same person voted for Sima against Servette. Top trolling.
  17. Is it done using AI? How can they possibly take account of all these variables, and do it so quickly? Is it done using a TV feed or someone at the game? Once you start thinking about it, it's mind-blowing as to how it's possible to do that.
  18. I don't see how we could have kept Sakala and prevent him from earning £100K a week. We would have just been left with a demotivated player and £4 million less in our bank account.
  19. I thought it was the Turkish club that couldn't meet his wage demands rather than Wright turning them down?
  20. Looks to be a guy who knows what's happening at Leeds. I hadn't heard there was a release clause before.
  21. I understood your point. However given you were calling for the manager to be replaced 2 games into the season, it seems that you're looking reasons to criticise. We scored 4 goals. Danilo, Souttar and Sima missed good chances and Cifu had a goal chopped off. Dessers even had 3 half chances. That's not bad for a team that's still trying to gel and I just don't know how many chances people are expecting us to create against Livingston.
