    Should that not be two?

What have the UVF got to do with it, mate?

    Ulster day

TBO and the EE (and presumably the CDL?) had numerous flags. The TBO had banners with the Ulster players names on them, and the UBs had a banner. It didn't really spread any further than that, but did anyone really expect it to? Describing it as dying a death is a bit harsh. If anything it exceeded my expectations, but I didn't expect a great take up as it wasn't publicised outwith a few websites.
  4. Spiers, in his report about the Celtic game and their chants against McCurry says "the Celtic fans exhibit a natural denominational antipathy towards him". I assume that this means that he believes that they are naturally sectarian but that's OK?
  5. The song may be trash but it's not racist and Spiers should have the guts to try and justify his lie.
  6. I thought that myself, and if you had asked me last week, I would say to drop Thomsomn to get him back in the team, but I thought Thomson did well today, and while I believe he should be in the team, it's difficult to know what our most effective midfield would be.
  7. Boyd was poor again today (that's a cue for S_A's imagination to run away with him again, I'm sure), but was by no means the worst in the team. His passing wasn't up to much (apart from the aforementioned cracker to Miller) and he struggled with some of his lay-offs. Shroomz, I for one, firmly believe he can't play the role of a loan striker. He doesn't have Cousin's strength or pace and whenever he has been played in that position he has looked like a fish out of water. His strength is as part of a front two, and if he can get his domestic problems sorted out and get back to last season's fitness then he and Miller could develop a useful partnership.
  8. Agreed. Alexander deserves to keep his place after his performance today, and McGregor's performances recently.
  9. Glad to hear it went well.
  10. He's just doing his job. Interesting to see that the papers haven't persecuted Smith, Underhill, Brines, Murphy and Thomson in the same way. I wonder why that is. There is NO way any newspaper would be allowed to persecute a RC priest in this way. Welcome to today's Scotland.
  11. Exactly. F'ing pathetic.
  12. That is an outright lie. That was NOT sung at an old firm derby.
  13. I think tat they want to give him every chance to come back. If they are truthful and come out and say that the chances are that his career is over, it's not going to give the boy much encouragement. Best to remain as positive as possible. In this case, I back the club's lack of information.
  14. He's had far more good patches than bad patches since his return. He played well during the whole of 2007. Even during the second half of last season he was a massive loss when he didn't play.

    Hemdani

When Dailly got the nod before him against Kaunus, he must have known he wasn't playing for us again. He offers very little from an attacking point of view, and we don't have Europe this year we don't need him.
  16. Don't see Walter changing from a back 4.
  17. But that's illegal. Also, I believe that the protest is only against BBC Scotland, and not the whole BBC.
  18. Not sure that he will ever be back.
  19. If that's true then how childish is Chesney? He'll lose respect from more than mcGeady. Could be on the way to losing the dressing room totally.
  20. Good to know, mate. Will keep that in mind.
  21. I didn't think that we did control the manufacturing anymore? I thought Umbro now did it. Although Umbro are now owned by Nike they don't push Umbro to any great extent worldwide, so hopefully we can switch to Nike next time.

The Sun say on the same page that it was at 9am and 9.45am. They can't even get their story right. They are scum.
  23. We're in the wrong. We shouldn't be singing it. Their European goal famine isn't over.
  24. I'm sure they mean it in the political sense.
  25. So Lennon and Novo have been taking similar levels of abuse, but only one is described as sectarian. Perhaps that suggests that Lennon is not liked for the same reasons as Novo, and other players like Savage, Keane etc. Nothing to do with religion but that, of course, doesn't sit well with some people's agendas.
