  1. That's also assuming that it was unprovoked. There have been claims that Lennon started it, which was the reason he initally didn't want to raise a complaint. I haven't a clue what the real situation is but that scenario is as likely as the unprovoked attack, although it's obviously no defence against the battering that he apparently took.
  2. Agreed, mate. It would be nice to think that it would be done.
  3. I remember going out for a drink with the goalie and my wife asked me beforehand if I could get his autograph for her. Halfway through the session I remembered and of course the Goalie obliged. I get home totally out my tree but the wife asks me if I got the autograph. I gave it to her and she looks at bit of paper which says: To Mrs Bluedell Sorry he's drunk! Andy Goram.
  4. The Goalie is normally very protective of his fellow keepers, even ones that play for Celtic, so it shows how bad things have got with Boruc if Goram is publicly slating him.
  5. Yeah, right. It was the Huddleboard, whch has apparently just been taken off-line.
  6. I think it's wrong to expect that the internal workings of a club to be publicised. There are some things which should remain internal. Firstly if the club comes out and says we are getting rid of him because he's crap then it's going to mean we will get less for him if we sell him. It may also put off players coming to the club because they would see a club that highlight their player's deficiencies, or highlight internal problems. It wouldn't do much good for Rangers to have come out and said Gazza didn't play today because he could hardly walk at 12pm. It doesn't do the club or the player any good. I'm not sure about the legality of it in a number of cases anyway. That's why a lot of companies refuse to give references these days. Whatever they say can get used against them in the future. I don't believe that we would always get told of why a minister would be mved from a job. They aren't going to come out and out and say that Darling is being sacked for doing virtually everything wrong over the past 6 months. It may get speculated upon in the press, but theofficial line won't say that.
  7. Craig, 1. Yes, he asked Rangers for a pay-off. 2. Certainly no harm in asking. I'm not sure how it was asked but it certainly scuppered his move to Burnley as part of the Lafferty deal, so I presume it was in the manner of "give me a pay-off or I'm not moving." Perhaps JMS can shed more light on that. It's obviously his choice, and a risk he was willing to take, but he's ended up with arguably a worse move than he would have had if he had gone to Burnley.
  8. LOL. Excellent stuff.
  9. Why does head-hunting PLG show a total lack of football knowledge? PLG was widely regarded as one of the top young coaches in Europe, and I don't remember anyone with "football knowledge" say beforehand that it was a mistake to bring him to the club.
  10. Having given the subject some more thought, I can see reasons as why both my source and JMS's may lie about the situation, so I am unclear about what the actual position is. However I do believe everything else that JMS has said. I back Bain on saying that he will not get any pay-off. Good to see the club taking that approach for a change, although I suspect it's because it's easy to do with a player like Gow. gharder to do it when it's a bigger name on higher wages. I think a vast majority of the support believe that Gow should have been given a chance last year. However I have heard that his performances for the reserves were generally not that great, but having not seen any I can't comment with any authority.
  11. You can either believe me or not. I too have a good source on this one. Frankie knows who my source is. On the issue of his contract, are you saying that it stipulates that if he is sold he is entitled to a pay-off? I was told that he wanted paid off for the full remainder of his contract. is that correct? Surely the contract doesn't say that?
  12. I've been told he was offered exactly the same money as he was on with Rangers. Why should be be entitled to money that he hasn't earned yet? if he wants to stay fine, if he wants to leave fine, but he isn't entitled to a pay-off.

Surely not as bad as Scotsport?

    CIS Cup

Would have taken anyone at home. Playing away's a pain, even if it's only across the river.
  15. I think you'll find that "Giving the bird to Rangers fans is not a crime"
  16. Exactly. He was going to go to Burnley and then got greedy when he thought he could make some easy money from Rangers. Put him on gardening leave and let him stay at home if he won't move. See what sort of money he'll earn at the end of his contract then.
  17. Eh? When was this great football under PLG? There was a couple of games at the beginning of the season but nothing of any consistency. It was the middle of November before we managed to put 2 wins in a row together domestically.
  18. I think there's a difference between those who say they won't accept him for his previous club and those who think he just isn't good enough. For me, when we signed him I was very unimpressed because he wasn't good enough. Like MF, I still have reservations about him from that perspective, but I have that about a lot of Rangers players. Doesn't mean I won't give them my support while they are playing for the team.
  19. They were. Their opposition were denied 2 penalties, and had a player sent off for very little. The only difference was that the decisions didn't affect the result. Never happy loyal.
  20. I thought at the time that it was for the throwing of the ball. I didn't think the ref would have booked him otherwise. Also not sure of he was actually aiming at the official. Haven't seen it on TV though. Wilkins may be one precident, but Lennon set another when he tried to attack a ref and got away scot-free.
  21. He got booked, did he not? Didn't deserve more than that.
  22. Some nice ones there. 25 is a cracker.
  23. Cracker.
  24. Let's try and keep Cousin, even if it's only for the 4 old firm games. thye can't handle him. Hemdani isn't going to get a agame again and we are well rid of him, and JCD has looked like a poor man's Kenny Miller in the few games that he has played so I''d get shot of him as well. I''d get rid of Boyd, if only to stop the endless number of threads on him. Why did we turn down the bid for McCulloch?
  25. I think you're right. Nae chance of getting him to change his mind now!!!!
