  1. That's the danger with sites like these. They mix lies in with the truth. Or else get a Celtic fan to register on a site like FF as Billy1690, post something outrageous and then get banned. Cue mass hysteria on the Celtic sites about them pure hun bigots. (Irony has never been big on Celtic fans' sites). Sites like this are dangerous because if you keep repeating a lie often enough it gets accepted as truth...something that Celtic as a club are very good at, as are their fans.
  2. Or Buffel left-mid with Whittaker at right back?
  3. Bloody coldest game I've been at for ages. The last thing I was wanting was ET and pens.
  4. No council tax to dodge if Salmond has his way. You'll be paying like the rest of us.
  5. Based on the chorus of this song (although I obviously don't agree with its sentiments) www.youtube.com/user/euroger50 I often wonder where they would have been If we hadn't have taken them in Fed them and washed them Thousands in Glasgow alone From Ireland they came Brought us nothing but trouble and shame Well the famine is over Why don't they go home? Now Athenry Mike was a thief And Large John he was fully briefed And that wee traitor from Castlemilk Turned his back on his own They've all their Papists in Rome They have U2 and Bono Well the famine is over Why don't they go home? INSTRUMENTAL Now they raped and fondled their kids That's what those perverts from the darkside did And they swept it under the carpet and Large John he hid Their evils seeds have been sown Cause they're not of our own Well the famine is over Why don't you go home? Now Timmy don't take it from me Cause if you know your history You've persecuted thousands of people In Ireland alone You turned on the lights Fuelled U boats by night That's how you repay us It's time to go home.
  6. Yes, it was being sung and it's to the tune of the Beach Boy's Sloop John B.

  8. But surely you are punishing everyone by deducting points from their club? I still believe self-policing would be an effective way to deal with it. Yes, there may be innocent people caught up in it, but how many of these "innocent" people reported the guilty parties at the Ricksen incident, for example?
  9. I hate being right sometimes.
  10. Bluedell

    Hark!

    Welcome, mate.
  11. I'm against a point deduction. Their three points on Wednesday may be the most immorally won in the history of Scottish football but the integrity of the competition needs to be maintained or else there will be calls for points deductions all over the place. A better solution may be to close small areas of the ground for a game where the offences take place. This would result in some sort of self-policing from the fans themselves and wouldn't affect the majority of the support.
  12. The two that I saw (one Rangers, one Celtic) were not thrown by the opposition fans.
  13. Scotzine, we'll need to agree to disagree on the issue of the thread. Nothing in it IMHO that required deletion. I certainly don't mind you being here (not that it's got anything to do with me anyway), as long as you don't mind my rebuttals to your posts. Look forward to your appearance when Celtic lose to us
  14. So there should be no sanctions against the club? They have a history of it. How many people were caught throwing coins in 1999? How many people were caught throwing coins and lighters at Ricksen? The guy get onto the pitch, run up to Dida, hit him and managed to get out of the ground without getting caught. You can't ensure one person out of 60,000 doesn't do something crazy, but you should at least be able to identify who it was and try and prevent him from coming back into the ground. Celtic are failing in this. The police are also failing in their duties and allowing supporters buses to get attacked on numeropus occasions when leaving the area.
  15. I think you've highlighted the difference yourself, mate.
  16. It should have been a penalty, but refs don't normally give ones like it.
  17. Don't agree with it myself, but how often does the Record run with RST statements? It probably has to be OTT for them to run it. Davie Edgar didn't say that he was calling for it anyway, just that it would make sense.
  18. I think it was some sort of smoke canister. Noticed one at the end of the game. Seemed very small and seemed to be just grey/white smoke. Not as big as the Celtic one set off at the end of the game which had green smoke.
  19. The only time I have visited his site, he couldn't handle the arguments that were put forward by bears (in a non-abusive manner) so he deleted the thread. He tries to sell it as a non-partisan site, but it's not. Very pro-Celtic.
  20. Trying to change the story? How low can you go? And you're spouting some other "incidents" that you have no proof on. There were no "missiles" thrown at Barry Robson. And we are still waiting on the the club to find at least one of the numerous people who pelted Ricksen with coins and lighters. Says it all about your club.
  21. The usual deny and deflect that Celtic fans are so good at.
  22. To be fair, so would ours if we had our way. :D
  23. I see the Scotsman have edited the "T" in "Timplosion". Cowards.
