  1. Yes, it was being sung and it's to the tune of the Beach Boy's Sloop John B.

  3. But surely you are punishing everyone by deducting points from their club? I still believe self-policing would be an effective way to deal with it. Yes, there may be innocent people caught up in it, but how many of these "innocent" people reported the guilty parties at the Ricksen incident, for example?
  4. I hate being right sometimes.

    Hark!

    Welcome, mate.
  6. I'm against a point deduction. Their three points on Wednesday may be the most immorally won in the history of Scottish football but the integrity of the competition needs to be maintained or else there will be calls for points deductions all over the place. A better solution may be to close small areas of the ground for a game where the offences take place. This would result in some sort of self-policing from the fans themselves and wouldn't affect the majority of the support.
  7. The two that I saw (one Rangers, one Celtic) were not thrown by the opposition fans.
  8. Scotzine, we'll need to agree to disagree on the issue of the thread. Nothing in it IMHO that required deletion. I certainly don't mind you being here (not that it's got anything to do with me anyway), as long as you don't mind my rebuttals to your posts. Look forward to your appearance when Celtic lose to us
  9. So there should be no sanctions against the club? They have a history of it. How many people were caught throwing coins in 1999? How many people were caught throwing coins and lighters at Ricksen? The guy get onto the pitch, run up to Dida, hit him and managed to get out of the ground without getting caught. You can't ensure one person out of 60,000 doesn't do something crazy, but you should at least be able to identify who it was and try and prevent him from coming back into the ground. Celtic are failing in this. The police are also failing in their duties and allowing supporters buses to get attacked on numeropus occasions when leaving the area.
  10. I think you've highlighted the difference yourself, mate.
  11. It should have been a penalty, but refs don't normally give ones like it.
  12. Don't agree with it myself, but how often does the Record run with RST statements? It probably has to be OTT for them to run it. Davie Edgar didn't say that he was calling for it anyway, just that it would make sense.
  13. I think it was some sort of smoke canister. Noticed one at the end of the game. Seemed very small and seemed to be just grey/white smoke. Not as big as the Celtic one set off at the end of the game which had green smoke.
  14. The only time I have visited his site, he couldn't handle the arguments that were put forward by bears (in a non-abusive manner) so he deleted the thread. He tries to sell it as a non-partisan site, but it's not. Very pro-Celtic.
  15. Trying to change the story? How low can you go? And you're spouting some other "incidents" that you have no proof on. There were no "missiles" thrown at Barry Robson. And we are still waiting on the the club to find at least one of the numerous people who pelted Ricksen with coins and lighters. Says it all about your club.
  16. The usual deny and deflect that Celtic fans are so good at.
  17. To be fair, so would ours if we had our way. :D
  18. I see the Scotsman have edited the "T" in "Timplosion". Cowards.
  19. Celtic statement is as follows: HAVING been inundated with complaints in relation to an article in the Sunday Herald last weekend, Celtic Football Club has today written to the Editor of the newspaper looking for his comments on the matter. "The complaints have been in response to an article containing the line, ââ?¬Å?some fans would probably rather have a bead-rattling Hoopy the Huddle Hound in the dug-out.ââ?¬Â As a club open to all since its formation in 1888, regardless of race or religion, this disparaging characterisation of Celtic supporters is extremely disappointing and offensive. The reference is completely inappropriate, and one which has naturally caused great concern amongst our supporters. Clearly, with the level of feeling among our supporters being so high with regards to this issue, the club felt it important to address this issue with the newspaper concerned." They seem to be more concerned over this than their league game tomorrow night.
  20. I love the optimism in this thread. Reassures me that perhaps I'm being overly pessimistic.
  21. Old firm games often go to which ever team wants it the most. I have a feeling that they may be really up for it and could get a win. 2-1. McDonald and McGeady, Cousin for us. Hope I'm as wrong as I was with the Lisbon result.
  22. True! although having signed up for the CCCS and the game being at Hampden, I'm assuming I'm guaranteed a ticket, although hasn't arrived yet.
  23. Bad news. It will affect the attendance. I'd prefer it not to be on as I'm going....assuming I get a ticket.
