  1. JCD hasn't looked fit this year, and I don't exect it to be different tomorrow. Where is the guy that we had for the first 2 months?
  2. I haven't listened to it, but I understand that it was "Margaret says half human half animal hybrids are not new Ibrox has been there for half a century" Certain people in BBC Scotland have an agenda against our club and reading out things like this are just part of it. Other examples that spring to mind are: - reading out a text on Monday claiming that the Gers fans were singing a sectarian song at 89 minutes at the cup final. (no proof or justification of course). - making a racial comment about Sebo - skipping over our great European performances in their new reports. - Having a photo on their website which called "kevinc*ntthomson" if you looked at its properties. There are loads of other examples. The thing is that they are clever at doing it. They are more subtle than the likes of McNee and Spiers and therefore more dangerous, as most people won't know they have an agenda. Just keep an eye out for it, guys.
  3. I've posted my thoughts on the thread in the Lounge. Fraser, as someone who has handed out leaflets at Ibrox, I know that people are unfortunately not interested in receiving them on their way into the game.
  4. They don't check me. You must be dodgy looking.
  5. We've done basketball. We've done Northern Spirit We've done the Chinese club This stikes me as another one of these that will prove to be of no benefit to us. Heard it all before loyal

Particularly as I posted the same joke 2 days ago.
  9. Walter's plan was always to use strength and power to try and win the league this season. It was the way that he could see that he could beat Strachan's Celtic. I was told that before the start of the season from a very good source, and that's the way it has turned out. I'll not criticise us for the way that we play this season. All I want is for us to win the league. Next season is a different kettle of fish, but let's bring home the league and worry about performances later.
  10. Blow then up when you're inside the stadium.
  11. Yes, tongue in cheek, hence the smilie at the end. Would be funny...although would leave us open to them accusing us of being a shower of dicks, so probably not one I'd back either.
  12. Based on the current joke that's going around that Lawwell has ordered a case of viagra because Celtic haven't had a semi all season, we could all go along with these:
  13. There is no reason why we shouldn't wind them up now. I just think that to churn out something that they have used before (and under better circumstances) is more likely to have them laughing at us for lack of originality. TBO, and more recently the CDL are usually good for some ideas and I'm sure that they will have something up their sleeves. For the whole support to get behind it it has to be a great idea, and I don't think that this is unfortunately. Ba humbug loyal.
  14. They did (I think that they had made the final by that point), and that's why I'd prefer that we were a bit more original.
  15. I agree. Sol Campbell? What's that all about? Darren Bent as well. Not even a first team pick but in the top 20 players in the world.
  16. And the hits just keep coming. Keep that chin up, Chesney.
  17. Standing in sections H or J in the Rangers end at Hampden when it had terracing. Probably the best atmospheres I have ever experienced. Changed days at Hampden nowadays. No grounds stand out in Europe...probably because we usually got beat whenever I went. Scotland-England at Wembley was also special. Edit: In terms of grounds I have been to: All SPL 8 first division and 4 second division (may be more but my memory isn't what it once was, and I'm not an anorak ) Loads of junior grounds. In England - Wembley, Goodison, St James Park Wales - Cardiff's ground Europe - grounds in Copenhagen, Bruges, Turin, Zurich, Bochum, Gothenburg.... probably more.
  18. I'd rest Cuellar. Are Smith and Webster ready for first team action yet?
  19. How about: Alexander Broadfoot Dailly Papac Whittaker Naismith Thomson Adam Gow Novo Boyd Novo and Naismith could be swapped.
  20. It's not what you use but how you use it... ....as I'm sure our goalie would say.
  21. I did. The first site that it came up with was the government's own site which states that the UK's population is 60m and England's is 50m. http://www.statistics.gov.uk/CCI/nugget.asp?ID=6
  22. That's the population of the UK. England is around 50 million.
  23. As far as I am aware Murray makes nothing from the catering. Azure was sold and didn't make any money anyway. The catering contract would be up for review at some point and presumably the new owner would want to put it out to tender. Fair point about the car park. You would need to add Edmiston House to that. It would be interesting to see if they are included in any sale. I also suspect that Murray Park's ownership may be negotiable.
  24. Pete, I'm not sure where you get the figure of £30m debt from. The net debt last June was £16.5m. The half year accounts didn't mention the amount of debt, but it could well be towards the figure you mention, although I haven't seen anyone speculate as to what it was. We made a loss of over £6m last year (the year to 30/6/07). We did make a profit of £2.3m in the 6 months to 31/12/07, but that is a timing thing. The second six months are always far worse than the first 6 months, and we will make a loss in the 6 months to 30/6/08, excluding the Hutton transfer. My view on Cousin is that he will be 6 months older and he/we may not find a club that will be willing to pay the £3m for him. I may be wrong, but I think we may struggle to get the full amount. As I said, I doubt that the debt will be that much better than it was at 30/6/07. Saying that, Murray authorised spending of over £10m, but whether that was a one-off and whether it was because they believed that they could get good cash from Hutton, who knows. It would be great to get the debt down to single figures, but I doubt that we will get there unless we reach the UEFA final. Even with that I don't see many buyres appearing. The a bigger issue than what Rangers financial position is at the time of buying is the underlying financial problems in Scottish football and that is what will put people off. Just look at the loss of £6m last year.
