  1. Getting a 404 on the link so maybe this is a grossly unfair reaction. Going by the headline, though... Walter is a complete hero to me, to the extent that I once fell out with my wife when he placed an order with her work and she didn't get me an autograph or a photey or anything, or even point out that her husband is the biggest Bluenose on planet earth and that he could do worse than stop off in Steelonia on his way home to discuss all things Rangersy. But coming out behind the RST at this late stage, once the war is apparently won...it's not...I just think his voice could have been heard earlier and louder.

  3. Bit worried about the references to dodgy mining companies @15.00. I'm sure there's a proxy shareholder which holds shares for some bizarre mining bunch, although hopefully it won't matter too much soon. Also horrible to hear about the pension fund being siphoned through Rangers on it's way to disappearing...I can't see the club being liable but they'll never get the money from the likes of Early, Ware or Whyte either. Horrible, horrible, horrible.
  4. It's obvious what Pete was saying, how anyone can interpret what he posted as a call for Ally to return to the dug out is amazing!
  5. He can boast about not quite managing to run the club into the ground and have wee snippy digs at fans for being 'vociferous' - not usually a compliment - all he likes. I'm just delighted his useless carcass now has nothing to do with Rangers.
  6. You did well to answer the point about parity in the part of the post you didn't read.
  7. Don't get me wrong, unless Kelly is the biz they're all little better than decent, some not even that. But compared to the other three divisions, where we have to assemble virtually from zero, at least for goalies we have something there which could, at a push, see us for a while.
  8. I believe it will Scott Gardiner, who was or still is at Dundee, and was sounded out before. Knows the scene and has credibility within the game.
  9. GK is about the only position we're half decent in. Ideally, Bell would be No.1, Kelly told to push him and wait for any chance, while Robinson should be told he's emergencies only & if he wants to move on, fair enough. He's a handy enough No.3 keeper but not much more, assuming he's coming cheap.
  10. I'd have to insist on some vague, geographical connection to Glasgow here. I mean, we have to draw the line somewhere, and Harthill seems as good a place as any.
  11. Your list is pretty accurate, but what I used to like best about Gersnet was that posters didn't feel the need to comment on it. Diddy posts are best politely ignored or else it just ends up like any other online abuse board.
  12. Longer than that, even. Shakespeare, 'Henry VI'. Dick the Butcher: The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers. Jack Cade: Nay, that I mean to do. Is not this a lamentable thing, that of the skin of an innocent lamb should be made parchment? that parchment, being scribbled o'er, should undo a man? Some say the bee stings: but I say, 'tis the bee's wax; for I did but seal once to a thing, and I was never mine own man since.
  13. Can't even resign with honesty, if he was bothered about lack of fan support he'd have bailed out 18 months ago. Put a little mustard on that ex-director.
  14. The fan trying not to snigger when the board wallah was giving his spiel was terrific.
  15. Not keen on this 'natural position' crap. Anything you get, you have to graft for! That sense of entitlement is what leads people like Malcolm Rifkind & Jack Straw to think they are worth £5,000 for a morning's work. It's the enemy of hard work, of which there's going to be plenty. But it was probably just a throwaway line, I hope so, anyway.
  16. I don't pretend to be an expert, but I think they are creating a scenario in which he could be sacked without a payoff.
  17. Ach, what do I know? It happens all the time, no-one ever steps up, and the putrid little circle keeps rotating. I can't keep on using up bandwidth about this, eventually you have to accept that you're not going to change anything and just simmer away silently. But it's a grim reflection of our support. Even so, recent research suggests Neanderthals had a sophisticated, artistic society far removed from the monobrowed thugs of steroetype; http://www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/jonathanjonesblog/2014/sep/03/neanderthals-art-cave-carvings-gibraltar Plus I refuse, on general principle, to agree with poor old Graham. Defiant Loyal!
  18. I mean no personal insult, but that argument is complete rubbish. You give our fellow fans way too much credit: the people who continually, repeatedly and interminably drag our club down will do so regardless of any other fans, because they are stupid. I can't see any benefit in stepping cautiously - these are morons, end of. No attempt to explain, justify or understand it will work because it has no logical or intellectual basis which can be explained- it is stupidity and nothing more. Defending our traditions? Helping destroy our club, more like. No wonder these kind of Bears got on so well with Craig Whyte. And their accomplices, those who would deflect onto whines about whether everyone is treated equally...in the first place, that doesn't excuse it and bringing it up reeks of deflection, and in any case the world isn't like that. Treated equally! What a joke. So, once we have a Utopian society, some of our fans will finally STFU, will they? Haters of Rangers must be delighted with such a poor attempt to avoid facing up to the issue, gleefully clapping their hands at the thought of us keeping on not just shooting ourselves in the foot, but firing a dirty great bazooka into both of our trotters, over & over again until we don't have a leg to stand on.
  19. With equal respect, I didn't mention the club, I mentioned the morons amongst the fans. Although to be fair to them, they are probably the equivalent of the board on the terraces. Quite the achievement. The argument, to be kind to it, that we need to view this in the round and that if other people can get away with being morons means we should be able to do it too, is beyond anything I can process. Does it not matter that Rangers will be the body that suffers, whether via punishment or reputationally? Whatever excuse is trotted out is just a form of denial, when what's needed is honest, mature facing up to an issue and dealing with it. Easier said than done, but a lot better than whining about other fans, as if that makes it all right.
  20. Any time things look up for us, we can rely on the Moron Loyal to spoil it. Hats off, yet again.
  21. "Supporters are the lifeblood of Rangers Football Club and they should never be taken for granted. They have our thanks - except for RangerRab", added King. "He will get what's coming to him - I know where he lives."
  22. That's interesting, in as much as Ashley appeals to City investor types because he is a single minded, ruthless creator of wealth for those inside the charmed circle. The above is complete bullshit, since those against him don't want to work with him if they can avoid it, and those behind him don't want him to work in consensus with other stakeholders. With that in mind, it won't appeal to either those anti or pro the board. Fingers crossed it's desperation stuff.
