Waiting for Godot might be just as appropriate.

So the Cordoba deal seems to be dead. Good riddance; he didn't want to play for us anyway.

That's a good if depressing article. Very little to disagree with.

Aye but Rangers would've got a payment for Kamara being promoted. Rangers always come first.
Ah. Forgot about that.

I'm glad Southampton went up; they've got more Scots in their squad and Russell Martin is an up-and-coming manager. Could be managing us one day?

Kenny McLean is a naw for me, we need to stop being a retirement home for Bears that can no longer cut it elsewhere. What happened to the young midfielder that left St Mirren last year, the one that knocked back Tenko?.
Do you mean Erhahon? He's in League One and recently was voted their player of the year for Lincoln I think. Wouldn't be expensive. Not a bad shout.

We’re off. Thanks dB.
bbc will pronounce Jefté as shifty.
A real live Brazilian, not some AI voice, has confirmed the pronunciation as ‘Sheffte’ each ‘e’ as in ‘get’ ‘met’ or ‘set’ with a little bit of emphasis on the second one.
She couldn’t tell me if he’s a good player. Just that he been bought by a Scottish team. I could have told her that.
While we are on the subject of pronunciation, Cordoba is pronounced CORDoba not CordOBA.

Nah, it's not a conspiracy, it's not as if Walsh is a well known, self confessed Celtic fan. Oh, wait.......
I've often held the view that the ref for an OF should be brought in from outside Scotland. Then there could be no suggestion of partiality.

Some dubious refereeing again today by Nick Walsh
The clear push on sterling by Scales in the first half was beyond belief. If Walsh missed it surely the assistant referee must have seen it? Debateable whether inside the box(hence no VAR) but a foul all day long & a free kick in a dangerous area.
At the goal chopped off Raskin is penalised for pushing hart but Raskin himself is being held by Taylor. The Celtic keeper is getting nowhere near the ball & wouldnt have got the cross regardless before Sima scores.
The Sterling booking too was beyond belief. He won the ball fairly.
Has Philippe Clement said anything yet?
The BBC team at half time didn't even bother to analyse it.

When was he last fit
He's probably in the squad to have his fitness assessed. He wouldn't be named if there wasn't some chance of him making it. Either way, I think he is near the end of his career.

Ryan Jack is in the Scottish squad they must be well short of half backs to include him .
It's our strongest area. Scotland and Rangers have equally missed a fit Ryan Jack. He's the best defensive midfielder available to both.

Lundstram: renew or release?
Is this still a question?
Really?
Off to the Towers of Trebizond with him.
A Rose Macaulay reader I see.

Did they seize control of Scottish football by appealling to some neutral arbiter?
Nope.
Open your eyes.
Oh - my apologies for having the temerity to suggest that there must be something we can do instead of sitting here moaning.

Conflict of interest surely? Can we not take this higher? Council for Arbitration in Sport or whatever it is called. There must be some higher body of appeal. I'm not au fait with legal things.

It could be argued that consecutive Rangers boards, going back as far as SDM'S moonbeams and then being "duped" have been negligent and haven't pushed us forward on or off the pitch
Meanwhile on the other side of the city they continue to outperform us domestically and financially. They have also set the political and media narrative whilst we continue with our stiff upper lip, dignified silence.
Some fans appear to be happy with the above and for the life of me, can't see why.
Have been saying this from 55 season, the board really need to step up to the plate. I don't mean personally finance the club, but find investors who help drive us forward.
At the moment their policy appears to be hoping we win the league with as little net investment as possible, which as we've seen again isn't realistic.
If nothing changes, we'll be in their shadow for the next two decades, as well as having been in their shadows for most of the last 15 or so years. That's the painful truth kf the situation.
Just as a sidenote to this, would you be happy with investment from, say, Saudi or elsewhere if it meant us becoming like Newcastle for example?

Reluctantly I agree that we now need a total clearout. No more loan signings please. We need players who will be committed to the Rangers cause. And more Scottish players which we need for our European quota. Armstrong, Barron, Miller, Watson from other SPL clubs for starters instead of unknown foreign numpties pushed on us by their agents. Even English League One - look at O'Riley for example for the Keltic.

I've been psychologically beaten into a mindset where, even if things seem to be going well at any point during the game on Saturday, I'll assume it's all just the build up to a crueller, more crushing disappointment further down the line.
That's a terrible philosophy to get you through life not just football, you know!
