Wasn't it great the way we went down to Sheffield and were pure British together? No it was embarrassing like it always is. "They're Scottish, the twats" is the standard and understandable response. Having said that, I do wish we could sort out the words of the Billy Boys - most emotive football chant ever. Not likely though. Plenty of ****** bastarding audible at the Albion game. I should mention that I have no motivation for debate on this issue, it's pointless. Change will happen naturally if it ever does.

FIFA (the game) refers to 'squads' and the commentary comes from British based guys and is spot on. Just sayin. Living in the Southern Hemisphere I have to put up with sentences like the following : "Rangers has kicked a goal". Across all forms of media, teams are referred to in the singular. Does my fucking head in!

Whilst I may disagree we aren't far off the team we lost, it has to be said that acquisitions have been impressive given our status. It would be ideal if when we get back to the top we don't require wholesale changes, just a few players of quality to tip the balance. Things are moving that way and I think next year, when its only one year out from the top, we will see some better players giving us consideration.

Kyle's namesake Alan was pretty average until he was 24 or so. I always thought there was a player in there but Kyle didn't show it at all last season, everyone can agree on that. He has the required build and athleticism, similar to Alan, that could allow him to become a seriuos midfielder, here's hoping he shuts us all up. Would probably need a good coach right enough ...

There is no big 3. It's a big 2 and they're big for a reason. The reason being visionary marketing of stylish, considered products that are appreciated internationally. Our strips on the other hand look like those of a division 2 team.

Always time for an Ally bashing thread, eh lads? Out of all the youngsters that played last year, how many do you feel really have a future at rangers? I'd say McLeod and less so McKay. The rest of them were uninspiring. But hey ho Ally has made some quality signings so the least we can do is find a way to belittle him for it.

No surprises and no shame from the repeat offenders in the typing pool masquerading as the Scottish media. The reality is not enough people give a fuck one way or the other about Hearts, hence we have the soft articles and empty platitudes which we all saw coming a mile off. As the OP alludes to, this is indeed how a nation's scribes should reasonably address the fall of an institution. Such a shame it requires a genuine lack of emotion, rather than professional detachment, to facilitate this.

In what sense ? That goian and boca are expensive? He's a football manager, he wants the best team he can have on the park. Offers will have been made to these two, probably on reduced wages and we are waiting for an answer from them. Probably why no CBs lined up in the media.
