  1. Like I say, the main obstacle for all has been Whyte and that explains every other problem over the course of this debacle. :)

Yeah the main issue has definitely been Whyte.

Paul Murray said the Blue Knights were certainly going to pay the £500k but they needed guarantees that Whyte's shares would be delivered. When no guarantees were forthcoming what was the point of paying the £500k?

Should also be noted that Bill Miller was awarded preferred bidder status without paying up.

  2. Essentially we newco before the last game but leaving the SPL no time to stop/punish us.

I saw Grant from STV saying similar. But then would it not be down to the 6 man SPL board to decide on our re-entry and their penalties are unspecified so could be even more draconian than the FFP proposals put forward by the SPL?

  3. Can I repeat my earlier question: why would the millionaires of the TBK's expect Ticketus to pay the fee?

To tie them into a deal with the Blue Knights so they cant screw them over at the last minute by signing up with Ng or another party.

  4. Really struggling to understand why anyone would prefer Kennedy to own the club.

    His quote today was:

"I don't really want to buy the club"

So why on earth, considering we know as much about his bid as we do about the others, would people vote for him?

  5. "Red and Black scarf campaign has raised £11k – JH & SJ thought it a strange choice of colour. The RST member disagreed."

This little nugget is a microcosm of the issues that any fans group involvement with the actual running of the club will create, and while I'm at it, how come only £11k was raised? At last count 4,000 scarves were sold...meaning 25% or less actually going to the club?

I have no faith whatsoever in the RST from what I've seen and heard over the last few weeks. Amateur hour springs to mind.

Well the meeting was on Saturday and its now Monday so I'd guess £11k might have been the total at that point in time.

4000 scarves means £30k will be given to the club (site states £7.50 profit per scarf) which wouldnt have been otherwise so I dont understand why the negativity towards a couple of guys who off their arses to do something.

  6. If the Daily Mail story today is true then £18m of the £24m from Ticketus has been given to Lloyds bank and we will never see it again. So Whyte has no way of paying any tax bill. Whyte may have no way of paying ANY bill.

Liabilities of potential £50m EBT bill, £9m unpaid tax, £24 to Ticketus.....is there a way out of all this??

  7. When Cunningham brought the Catholic church into this with her "sign of the cross" comments I was delighted. It highlighted its not all a one way street, and say what you like about them, but they certainly stick up for their flock. When she mentioned that I knew they wouldnt sit back and take it so would want the law changed.

We just need to be careful what it is changed too.

  8. At the meeting those at the top table revealed that the match commander at Ibrox Andrew Bates said specifically that any reference to "fenians" or the pope are illegal. I expected any press release to state this specifically.

What we are left with now are half the support thinking its ok to sing "Super Rangers" while others will think its not. We as a support need to specify what we must sing as nobody at Rangers or the SFA or UEFA or the Police are going to do it for us.

It's also ridiculous that UEFA haven't yet told Rangers specifically what we have been banned for. If its a term or a word then say so.

Until we get clarity and specifics this debate will not go away.

  9. With the revelation that Kieran Brady may well be the FARE rep on both the Eindhoven games it is interesting to read the kind of company he was speaking to in early March. I wonder if they may have discussed Rangers probation period ending soon and what they could do before it ends?

His new organisation is here should anyone wish to contact him with any questions.

Also look who the 3 people involved in the story below are. Strange they all seem to be hanging out together in early March.

Piara Powar is the Chief Executive of Football Against Racism in Europe (FARE).

Previously the CEO of the Kick It Out organisation in the UK he is highly influential in the corridors of football power in Europe.

Speaking exclusively to this journalist about the behaviour of the Rangers fans in Europe this season and UEFAs lack of response so far to a tirade of discriminatory chanting over the past eight games in Europe he said:

ââ?¬Å?One of the challenges about Anti-Irish racism and anti-Catholic sectarianism is that UEFA need to warn Rangers at the start of every round.ââ?¬Â

ââ?¬Å?There is no point in blaming UEFA for perceived inaction on this matter. The problem resides in Scotland and has to be dealt with by the SFA and the club.ââ?¬Â

ââ?¬Å?What is clear to everyone, is that action needs to be taken these levels of abuse just canââ?¬â?¢t continue.ââ?¬Â

ââ?¬Å?We are prepared to sit down with the SFA and both Glasgow clubs to help.ââ?¬Â

I showed Piara Powars views to Kieron Brady, an Equality expert with Celebrate Identity Challenge Intolerance, and put the following questions to him:

    Phil Mac Giolla Bhain:

Piara Powar has revealed that RFC need to be warned about their fans behaviour at the start of every tie whereas every other club with problematic fans have only to be reminded at the start of a European campaign. What does this, in your professional opinion, reveal about the extent of the problem at RFC?

    Kieron Brady:

ââ?¬Å?This reinforces the view that the issues that exist within Rangers do have unique components. Of course other clubs throughout Europe are presented with difficulties around racism and religious intolerance. In terms of regularity within games however, the numbers responsible, frequency across the season and the lack of any bona fide condemnation and unprecedented action from the club, then it illustrates that this is a profound problem. We have not yet reached a stage where the club, or the many decent Rangers fans who love their club without this baggage, feel empowered enough to be instigate change by challenging what is in their midst.ââ?¬Â

The interview carries on in a similar vein but I am sure you can get the jist.

This is the same Piara Powar whose organisation was contacted by the RST regarding racism at Parkhead to El Hadji Diouf to which they didnt receive a response. I wonder how these anti-racism groups decide what to comment on and what to ignore?
