It's not just happening here, it's being debated by all clubs supporters large enough to have a forum. Nobody at any club anywhere has suggested otherwise, just like any other sport. I don't know why some people feel you have to make public shows of identity politics. If people want to come and participate they will, its so lazy to blame all the ills on white protestants or whites in general. Lazy and racist.

Should've been more clear, I was referring to the fan who brought our club up during his speech at the BLM rally in Glasgow. (Our club being mentioned in more offical capacities regarding these social issues) I am not blaming anyone for anything really - everyone is entitled to their own view.

I just feel BLM movement is so big and vast, it stands for so many things but mainly stands firmly vs racism and thats not a bad message for the club to align itself with. You dont have to agree with everything it stands for either. If people have such an issue with BLM would they be happy with the club doing their own thing with the everyone anyone campaign - focusing even more efforts on it?

Has there been any chat from fans or anyone else at all regarding the toilets? Otherwise why would the cub just out the blue make an announcement on what toilets trans people can use? If people dont want the club to make a public stance with BLM and getting involved with social / political issues then why would we choose to get publicly involved with this?

Politics is politics and should not be a part of sport. This "black lives matter" has gone on long enough, should be finished with as it is too one sided.

Don't know if anyone agrees but taking the position, in which the guy was killed, is highlighting the method of what happened and not a protest and derogatory to the guys death.

Taking the knee was a BLM protest long before George Floyd's murder.

  3. Why don’t we ask female fans how they feel about the toilet issue? Instead of a bunch of dudes dictating who gets to use the loo. (Assuming the posters are male - which I’ll get cancelled for!)

The whole thing about it being some guy ‘dressed up’ to sneak into female toilets is nonsense. Some length to go to, buy a ticket - go to the game ‘dressed up’ - cant imagine they would be welcome in the stands with some of the comments in the thread never mind make it to the toilets.  Now I get their is a risk of it happening, but there is also a risk when your laddy nips away for a piss.

The same happened with gay folk back in the day - guys scared they’re gonna get bummed.

Most bars these days have unisex toilets - and it’s normal in many places across the world. I’m not gonna say I fully understand why some people are trans etc - but I’ve worked with trans people and know some socially and never had any issues with any of them.

All this kind of chat is why people drag our clubs name into chats about equality and racism - And some fans wonder why. Lets catch up with the times and show that the club actually is for everyone and anyone and not exclusively for people who are white Protestant.

I've asked the Supporter Liaison Officer to clarify the following with respect to Rangers Diversity and Inclusion Charter:

    •    Can you inform me how Rangers intend to implement the strategy with respect to trans status people without impinging in any way on the sex-based rights of female supporters?
    •    Can you confirm what Rangers’ position is with respect to Black Lives Matters? BLM as an organisation asserts that all white persons by virtue of their ethnicity and their ethnicity alone are guilty of racism. This is itself self-evidently a racist proposition. Consequently, BLM must fall necessarily outside of the terms and scope of Rangers’ own DIC.

Lol wtf. Everyone was having a go at that supporter at the BLM rally in Glasgow for bringing our name in to that arena - now you want the club to just out the blue come out and say their views don’t align with BLM!?

What are you wanting to hear in regards to the clubs views on racism?

The toilet situation - how would you as a customer prefer it / be comfortable with it?

Quite liked Polster as it goes. Don’t think he did too much wrong when he got the nod but never really set the heather on fire either. £300k’s probably aboot bob on. Good luck to the fella

Aye same. I always thought he had a great attitude and he seemed to enjoy being part of the set up and being in Scotland. Shame it didn't work out for him.

Sorry, a pre-sale? They are either on sale or they are not. WTF is a pre-sale? Some marketing pish by the sounds of it!

I assume Castore were taking money off bears as part of this "pre-sale"? Which then means it was actually "on sale", just with a 31 day delivery time. So when they dont/cant issue the tops for a month, why restrict themselves to 50K is what I wanted to know? Why not just have an unlimited "pre-sale".  If it is because they have only managed to produce 50K, then they deserve some criticism for being so small-minded, surely?

It's not that difficult to see 50K was never going to satisfy our demand. We have sold over 40,000 season tickets at about £500 a go for games that we wont be able to attend. With that lunacy, (sorry I mean loyalty!) then a new top that is not controlled by Ashley was always going to be of huge interest to Rangers fans across the globe.

I don't get what your issue is with this. Shirts go on general public sale on August 1st in our revamped store which opens on the same day . It will also be available in other high street retailers.

We had a pre sale with 50,000 units. It's drums up even more interest. Gives some folk a bit of breathing room after paying for a season book.

Yes it's some sort of marketing pish - and it's marketing that's gonna make us millions. The board and castore are not underestimating the fan base or the demand.

The cash is coming just be patient.

  7. Aye it's just presale just now. 50,000 is a decent enough presale and makes it seem more exclusive and appealing to people who may not buy one usually.

Leicester between 2011-16 sold on average 50,000 shirts world wide per year. Everton 80,000 during the same period.

We could easily sell another 100,000 home tops when they go on sale. Then atleast 50,000 away and third kit tops then all the castore training gear / hoodies ect. This is going to be a very lucrative deal for all invovled.

  8. Castore saying in the times that it's pretty much sold out.

How many kits are we expected to sell? Had a Google and seen last season we sold more tops than any other Scottish team but didn't give any figures.

I found a world top 10 list with AC Milan in at 10th place with around 650k kits sold.

Given the demand for the home kit so far and two more kits due out we could be looking at around 2/300k units!?
