  1. Surprised? My ghast is truly flabbered. Both Cosgrove and Spiers were telling the BBC Radio Scotland listeners that it would NOT be appealed. Ah well, wishful thinking masquerading as factual information again.
  2. We are two points ahead in the Championship, with a game in hand. We are coming to the end of the fifth month of this season and we have played 13 league games. The season has five months to run, the last league match scheduled for the last week of April. Simple arithmetic tells us we have 23 games to play, that's an extra ten games in the same time period. We have a fairly thin first team squad. and a couple of injuries and suspensions, particularly in key areas could really hurt. I know the season is lop-sided because of international commitments; however, I feel postponing a couple of games because four players(Kelly, Aird, Oduwa, and Zelalem) have been called up has allowed Hibs a peep of unecessary light. We must grasp the situation and manage it better. Further, a return to early season form would be most welcome.
  3. Mass murderer and Secretary of the local Sellik supporters club, Peter Manuel was a Tannochside lad(although born in New York), he had a bit of an impact. However, hardly a ripple compared to the ongoing situation of torment brewing this morning in that particular piece of deepest, darkest Lanarkshire. Kenny Miller has just penned a one year extension to his Rangers contract. Say again after mushroom cloud ..........................................
  4. I have read this thread and am none the wiser as to what has been said, can someone enlighten me?
  5. When will it end? If we continue to run, they will keep chasing.
  6. I listened to Cosgrove and Spiers salivating at the prospect of title stripping on Saturday evening, stomach churning stuff. However, Spiers appears to be breaking ranks, in that on Saturday he was of the same opinion as Cosgrove on BDO NOT appealing the decision. Tonight, he agrees with Wilson that the decision will be appealed. More on BBC Scotland's Rangers hate fest on Saturday, later in the week. A wee tit bit, Cosgrove described himself live on air as, "the show's box to box midfielder, driving the agenda on" Further, he added, "and Tam is the finisher".
  7. It's really difficult to play with childrens emotions, but I would not give a single penny to that montebank(continually lionised by our seperated brethern) as, 'big Mick'.
  8. Ewen Murray is supposedly a Jambo, there was considerable speculation a decade past that he was Spiers catamite, but he certainly is a fully paid up Rangers hater. His Guardian piece has been fed to him, probably by Matt McGlone. Zaliukas was reported as being in soapy bubble with his wife, both women he was out with on that evening were not his spouse. As for Matt McGlone, I am one of the several people that read his autobiographical tome, 'Emotionally Sellik'. The inside cover acknowledges Paul Weller for providing the soundtrack to his life and contains an apology to all the women he could not commit to because, "there was always Sellik". Matt has been married three times. As for Ashton Lane and Jinty McGinties, Glasgow City Council must ensure the cobbled surface has more purchase, the number of Yahoos that continue to slip! Maybe, the club should provide better footwear? I hope none of the resident buskers impersonate Elvis.
  9. I don't mind Keef riffing a few questions. Contradictions are appearing. Four, five weeks past, Warburton stated his intention NOT to add to the squad in January. He reasoned, he did not want to disrupt the current harmony. Mostly, we agreed, the perceived wisdom being we had enough in the tank for the Championship. Yesterday, Mark is looking to bed in a few players in January, preparation for next season's Premiership assault. Again, reasonable stuff. Why the change in attitude? Could it be, now he has a Chief Scout, he wants to utilise him? We should be told. There are other fires to be extinguished and the fact that Keef is alerting the readership, probably means he is covering the bases. I hope so? The dismembered member of Donegal Mountain Rescue is currently hyper ventilating. Admin2 should have occurred two weeks ago, Murray Park should have been sold last Tuesday, and the RST are paying this month's wage bill. The usual suspects are adding their voices to a growing chorus. King is far away, maybe Keef is correct; he should shout a bit louder every now and again. I would like to hear occasional soothing tones. An AGM would help.
  10. Heroes of Telemark 3 Zeroes of Piggery Park 1.
  11. Former Sellik full back, Mark Wilson.
  12. I included this reaction from BBC Radio Scotland on the original thread. I put on my radio at half time to get the Falkirk/Hibs score and heard Kenny McIntyre reading e-mails/tweets from Rangers supporters watching the game live on BBC Alba. They were using the word, "cowards" to describe the complete lack of reaction from both Chick Young and Derek Ferguson covering the game. Needless to say, Ferguson explained that the tackle occurred early in the game, it was on the far side, and looked innocuous. Chico was strident, "Spurs have sent him up here to toughen up and at half time, he's been found wanting". Both TV evidence and of their own eyes are NOT the required narrative at BBC Scotland.
  13. Lawrence Donegan's name arises on a regular basis reference demonisation and marginalisation of Rangers supporters. A lifelong, (since schooldays) friend of bitter John Colquhoun. Further, Donegan is married to Maggie Shiels, long term presenter of Good Morning Scotland and Newsdrive on BBC Radio Scotland. Many informed folks had more than a suspicion of his heavy involvement in the RTCB. Many of the early editions of ra Selloik fanzine, 'Not the View' have numerous contributions from Donegan, Dermot O'Hara(BBC Scotland News Editor), and his brother, Brendan O'Hara MP.
  14. Driving home tonight, I heard Mark Burchill play the nationalist card. I think it was Oscar Wilde who was of the opinion that nationalism was the last resort of the scoundrel. Leaving Ibrox last evening, I listened to BBC Radio Scotland and both Chick Young and Derek Ferguson were of the opinion that the Gibbons tackle was nothing to write home about. He was up here to toughen up and by half time, he had been found wanting. The available TV evidence has left a few of the usual suspects with egg on their collective face.
  15. There is a mid war newspaper clipping, I've seen it posted a few times over the years.
  16. A point for each of Phil's names. 1. The IRA's Chief Of Staff, Sean Russell died on a U-Boat off the coast of western Ireland in 1940. 2. The Piggery was closed for several weeks by Government order in 1942, because of pro-Nazi chanting. 3. Phil penned Joe Adams(father of Gerry) obituary for the Herald a dozen years past. He lionised Joe's bravery as a Nazi bomb damage assessment officer during the Belfast shipyards blitz in '40-'41. Yep, Joe was provided with a camera by the Nazis and he 'risked' his freedom by walking the yards after a raid. 4. Mark Walters debut at ra Piggery and a carpet of bananas immediately to the front of the jungle.
  17. Neil is a BIG BIG Sellik man, takes the petted lip often because Peter Lawwell more often than not, prefers Stephen McGowan of the Scottish Daily Mail for puff pieces. Further, our separated brethren have been putting considerable effort into dominating the Herald's contributions pages reference articles. Apparently, the Herald has morphed into the Rangers News recently, and all Journos are flute playing Sevcovians. Neil does NOT want to be perceived as a Zombie. Interestingly, Neil's nickname among fellow Journos is, 'Spook'. He was the recipient of this moniker after it got out he had been interviewed by the Police for being in a graveyard in the wee sma' hours. Simply, he was in his car shagging his bhint. Neil's tweet is a play to a particular gallery.
  18. Let's bring back Wullie Mathieson. It's nearly Halloween and there are doors to be kicked.
  19. I note the draw for the semi-final of the Petrofac Training Cup took place yesterday afternoon. If we survive our home quarter-final tie against Livingston next Tuesday evening, we have another Ibrox game against St Mirren. Further, the Queens Park v Peterhead tie is to be played on Saturday 141115. Possible date for us too, or will TV change it? I know this is hugely presumptuous, given our woeful record in this cup. However, if expected that Peterhead progress to the final, do we think the powers that be would opt for a Pittodrie final?
  20. I think I prefer the headline, 'Ashley in Jail'.
  21. I agree about Preston, I suspect it was his turn. If you remember last season after our 2-0 defeat at Tynecastle; Cosgrove's last caller was, 'Gordon the Jambo from Glasgow'? Clearly, it was a Pacific Quay Producer in a fit of triumphalism. Further, the two minute conversation allowed the tick box of 'Sevco', 'you let your club die' and 'you're not Rangers anymore'. Rehearsed and planned. We will only put an end to it when we ridicule those participating.
  22. Our manager should hollow the base and wear the trophy as a hat, it would look quite magic.
  23. It was the evening of the 24th July 2015, and BBC Radio Scotland were hosting the usual suspects expressing their opinions on the start of the new season the following afternoon. The vast majority of the discussion centered around the Premiership, quite right too. Who would secure the title, relegation, and the progress of our representatives in European football were talked through, opinions differed most on candidates for relegation. How would Hearts fare on promotion sparked even more outpourings; Allan Preston, Tom English, and Michael Stewart were agreed on a top six finish. Oh, and all chorused, 'Hearts are a model club'. The last couple of minutes were designated for Championship discussion and the objective Host of ra Show demurred to Players' Agent, scratch golfer, and big, BIG, Jambo, Allan Preston. You see, Allan had watched the vast majority of Jambo fixtures the previous season on behalf of BBC Scotland. The former stalwart of Dundee United reserves was unequivocating, "Hibs to win the title quite comfortably, by more than a few points". The Host asked about Rangers chances? Preston barreled on, "they finished third last season, three points behind a settled Hibs in second place. They've brought in too many players, they take time to settle, don't know each other. They'll make the play-offs and hope they don't face Motherwell again". The murmur of encouragement within the studio grew as Allan culminated, "Hibs will win at Easter Road tomorrow, Rangers won't be able to handle the pace and width of David Gray". The show ended amid self satisfied sniggers. Well, the next day arrived and Rangers appeared quite comfortable with the pace and width on display, by Rangers. We won 2-6, knocking Hibs out the Petrofac Cup for a second successive season. I guess our adhesion that afternoon was the result of good fortune? The good fortune continues in the Championship. After a quarter of the games required, Rangers have a 100% record of nine games played and 27 points secured. Despite not being a model club, we should make the play-offs. Fellow Gersnetters, please do not be concerned, I am determined not to be Hubristic or triumphalistic. I know two out of our next three league games involve visits to both Paisley and Leith. Let's hope our good fortune is maintained? After the five years we have endured, I hope this forum will indulge my indulgence and join me in enquiring of Allan, how do you like them Biscuits?
