I was putting out some information on the subject, not making claims. However, further I do remember that Liam had added comments to threads on the social network page that had, 'who's that lying on the stairway' pysh. I should point out, he was NOT echoing such sentiments; but was comfortable to post comments on threads containing such vile. The sheepies at BBC Scotland have NEVER missed an opportunity to exploit and comment on troubles at Rangers. Rheinhart Gordon, Liam McLeod, Jonathon Sutherland, ...... etc are comfortable in their condemnation of Rangers and their perception of sectarianism. A few months ago, Diamond, Paton, McGuire, and a couple of youth players had pages of sectarianism on Twitter/Facebook/Bebo, the BBC Scotland woolybacks said ......................................................... you'll find the answer at the centre of a doughnut.

Several years past, when Liam McLeod first broadcast on BBC Scotland; his younger brother was attending Aberdeen Uni' and his social network page was full of anti-Rangers bile. Particularly, a fair amount of sick comments celebrating the Ibrox Disaster.

Mark(the Slug)Guidi has been at the forefront of the witch hunt against Dallas, in both broadcast and print media. In May'99, his copy was pulled because it was threatening to both Dallas and his family. The copy that was put out was continually reinforced by him on Radio Snyde, Dallas performance that evening at ra Stydome was the worst he had seen. Clearly, ra Sellik lost the league and the match that evening because of Dallas. Guidi stated that nothing could convince him otherwise. At Tannadice in October'10, Guidi siezed the opportunity provided. The Linesman, Steven Craven(a Sellik fan being threatened by fellow Sellik fans) agreed to interview by Guidi for money(how much was he paid for his three articles?); and suddenly the emphasis changed to Dallas and his SFA role. Craven accused Dallas of bullying, having favourites, and being untouchable. Guidi and the usual suspects then began to lionise Stewart Regan, Guidi began columns and speeches on Snyde with, "lets be quite clear here, the one man who has NOT put a foot wrong in this whole sorry episode, is Stewart Regan". We know Regan was headhunted for the SFA by a recruitman firm utilised by Sellik Vice-Chair and SFA Board member, Eric Reilly.

I do not know when the half-yearly accounts will be released; however, a couple of weeks past on BBC Radio Scotland; Jim Traynor provided some 'informed speculation'. There were grounds for optimism, last year saw the eradication of 'Historic Debt' ie monies owed on transfer fees(apparently £9.5million), thus debt at the turn of the year reduced to just under £21million. Traynor extrapolated that the summer debt would be under £15million. Genuinely surprised that more was not made of Traynor's latest epistle, but it could be another moonbeam by proxy.

Captain Pugwash, Seaman Staines, Master Bates, and Roger the rosey cheeked cabin boy; all have one more dimension than SDM's Rangers.

.................... but, but,............... ah mean, ........................... ra Sellik supporters ur ra greatest fans in ra world, an'at, kno'. Oh, and just because Ricksen received rounds with an accompanying threat from PIRA, does NOT mean they were sent by Sellik supporters. Copyright Chico Young. -
Pantomimes are meant to be entertaining, the long running Rangers production has become tired and uninspiring. When Lord Jasper enters stage right, the Bears can no longer be bothered to boo. The main cast remains the same, the extras ie Whyte, Ellis, and Duffy seem unable to both stimulaste and hold the audience attention. I like the Elaine C(for Sellik)Smith analogy, presents an ideal opportunity to remind Gersnetters of a review she received in the Times for her performance in a Panto at the Kning's Theatre, Glasgow several years past : "Elaine C Smith dominated the stage the way Mussolini dominated Abyssinia". Most apt.

I was listening to Jim Traynor the other evening on BBC Radio Scotland. He was lambasting SuperStew for engineering a plethora of foreign referees presence at the weekend, each nationality being told a different story to ensure their attendance. Of course, a dozen or more turned tail and headed home after finding out the truth on the Scots' referees withdrawal of labour. The Israeli and Luxembourg officiald also stated that if they had been properly informed as to the true nature of the dispute, they would NOT have attended either. Both these sets of officials could NOT get clarity or transparency on the matter on Friday evening/Saturday morning because ......................... wait for it ................................... SuperStew had left the country. All that tireless work, all hands on deck to ensure provision; as the chorus of thank-yous arrived from every Sellik supporter, SuperStew had fcuked off back to Yorkshire. He was NOT available to provide much needed clarity. SuperCon SuperStew

I note the number of off-stage players involved in this Scots farce increases daily, some cannot stop themselves running on for the final bow. Today's latest claimant in the, 'I did it, I did it' drama is, Paul McBride QC. The leading light in the Scottish Tories claims vidication, "Celtic feel vindicated in their stance that referee Dougie McDonald should be sacked", according to a high profile QC close to the club's Board. The chutney sniper got all sanctimonious by further stating, "there is no sense of triumphalism at Celtic Park, but there is a sense of quiet vindication". Aye, that's right, no triumphalism; just the thought of Dr Reid, Peter Lawwell, and Paul McBride heading down the Garvaghy Road for a cerebral walk. Stewart Regan is throwing a stick in the air, Dr John and Peter Lawwell are banging drums, but Paul McBride is swaggering in a quiet vindicative type way. It's what ra Sellik do best, surreal farce. Here in deepest, darkest Lanarkshire; I can see the Scottish Conservative Party's latest bunnet hustler, Paul McBride leading their long awaited revival? Well, they started the surrealism.

There is a thread on VanguardBears highlighting Leggo's Latest blog, an interesting assessment of the relationship between Dr John Reid/Lawwell and Stewart Regan. Leggo utilises Dr Reid's past membership of the Communist Party of Great Britain(CPGB), by reminding the readership of the events of the Prague Spring, 1968. Devout rc and President of Czechoslovakia, Alexander Dubcek decided to throw off the communist yoke and embarked upon a three month process of breaking ties with the Soviet Union. This was dramatically halted when Brezhnez sent in the tanks and parked them on St Wenceslaus Square. This event split the CPGB, those supporting the Soviet Union's Hectoring actions became known as 'Tankies'. It would appear Dr John Reid was a Tanky. Leggo is of the opinion that Dr John has his Tanks parked outside the Hampden officies of the SFA. The Stewart Regan jigsaw appears to be most revealing. He was educated at St Bede's rc school in County Durham. Apparently, he was headhunted for the SFA Chief Executive position by Paul Nolan of Nolan Partners. The company 'Nolan Partners' is a business partner of ra Sellik. Paul Nolan is biggest, bestest mates with Kevin Reid, son of Dr John; and Regan worked alongside Peter Lawwell whilst both employed at Coors. Over the last couple of weeks, the on-message types in both broadcast and print media NEVER missed an opportunity to lionise Stewart Regan. It was lots and lots of, 'Stewart Regan has not put a foot wrong', 'the only man to emerge from this sorry debacle with any credit is Stewart Regan', and 'you have to feel sorry for Stewart Regan, five minutes in the job and he has landed all this on his lap". Remember, when asked by Allan McGregor on the plane home from Prague, "am I banned for a game or two"? Stewart Regan replied, "you'll have to wait to you open tomorrow morning's mail". Yep, all those comments from Regan about sectarianism being at the core of the refeeing controversy, the secret meetings with Lawwell, and his sympathy for ra Sellik's plight. Mmm, anyone think Stewart Regan may have have been well briefed before taking up his designation as SFA Chief Executive?

Noel Lemmon will be writing to Strathclyde Police, seeking clarification? Oh, and remember during the close season in Lurgan at the meeting of Irish Sellik supporters' clubs, both Lawwell and Lemmon participated in a Q and A. Lemmon was asked why he removed Wullie McStay from the club after 3 decades of service and replaced him with Thompson? Lemmon's answer played to the gallery and he was cheered to the echo, "I think Alan Thompson is the bigger H-nskelper".

Odious Creep lies openly to defend celtic honour
26th of foot replied to maineflyer's topic in Rangers Chat
Spiers spent the whole of last year on Radio Snyde, stating that, "thirty to forty years ago, Celtic were constant victims of refereeing injustice". The then objective host of ra show, Peter(McGuire)Martin allowed and encouraged him to say this without impunity, he was never challenged. The irony, is that Big DJ was/is a colleague on the same radio station, been on the staff for over 20 years. Everything Big DJ won in the game falls in that period of thirty to forty years ago. Spiers constantly devalued his achievements, they were won with official assistance. He said nothing, Peter Martin said nothing, and Spiers trampled all over every non-Sellik players' achievements from that period with encouragement. Only ra Sellik sensitivity matters, the rest do NOT count. -
I think the comparrison may be between the leeway Lloyds have allowed reference Corporation Tax to remain at 12.5%, the lowest in the EU. Thus, although the constraints on the Republic of Ireland are withering, they are allowed to continue to attrack future investment with such a low rate. A parallel in the Rangers situation may be for Lloyds to release sufficient funds to award realistic contracts to the likes of Miller, Bougherra, Naismith, ... etc. I suspect individuals at Lloyds with at least promoting a continuing ambience of uncertainty at the club. Listening to Smith, Bain, and Johnston at this year's NARSA, they were quite open about the frustration of making plans within given constraints, to then find Lloyds had once again moved the goalposts.

The likes of Herald Diarist(Sellik View columnist too), Tom Shields and Radio Snyde's former Chief Executive, Paul Cooney never stopped boasting of the influence wielded at the Palace of Westminster by their green'n'grey hooped heroes. A fully attributed Sellik supporters club was set up in the mid-nineties, all those Yahoos that sat on the various coloured benches in both the House of Lords and the House of Commons formed the Westminster CSC. In excess of 60 members, Dame Helena Kennady QC, Lord Reid of Cardowan, Jim Murphy, Frank Roy, Jim McGovern, ......etc have all been members from day one. Others have come and gone, the former Speaker, Michael Martin, George Galloway, Jim Devine, Des Browne, Brian Wilson ...... etc; either because they stood down as MPs or they were voted out. During Martin O'Neill's tenure at ra Stydome, it became almost a weekly experience that an Early Day Motion would be laid down congratulating ra Sellik for winning a CL match, making a donation to charity, participating in a testimonial in England, and constant lionisation of the GFITW. Almost, without exception, they were all long term Labour Party apparatchiks and did not need whipping into line to add their numerous signatures. Of course, messages of solidarity were important too, a high profile labour dispute would see a message of support winging it's way to the workers from the Westminster CSC. Interestingly, here in Scotland we have a labour dispute threatening to activate this coming weekend. It's not about the price of labour; no, it's all about the conditions of labour. Namely, referees have decided to withdraw their labour because of constant threats to themselves and families from TGFITW. These are not idle threats, Hugh Dallas had his family home attacked, Kevin Dunn smashed thirteen of fourteen windows with a golf club. He was charged, convicted, and fined by Hamilton Sherrif Court but did not have his Sellik season ticket taken from him. Mike McCurry has his windows smashed twice, Wullie Column received threatening phone calls, Steven Craven's children were threatened in school, Kenny Clark accompanying his eight year old son on the Arran ferry was confronted and threatened, ....... etc. Now, Westminster CSC did NOT lay down any early day motions condemning these long running threats and actions, nor have they issued a letter of solidarity to those on the end of constant inTIMidation. Will they support the striking referees, will they condemn the threat of strike-breaking from foreign nations, will they adhere to their principles? I suppose it's all about integrity. I am sure both Tom Shields and Paul Cooney will keep us updated?

Sir Alex Ferguson could have been Rangers boss
26th of foot replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
When John Grieg was relieved, there was a flurry of activity. I believe Ferguson was offered the position as Rangers manager. Further, he was prepared to take the job but was talked out of it by Dick Donald, Aberdeen's then Chairman. Next, Rangers turned to Jim McLean, he walked up the marble staircase on a Sunday afternoon with the intention of accepting the position, but walked back down unsure. Rangers offered the job to Jock Wallace on the Monday and his second tenure began. -
Initially, I thought Reid's reinforcing the suggestion by Peter Wishart MSP, that referees must declare the team they support, was his nadir at today's Yahoo AGM. Clearly, Reid was pushing at an open door and playing to the gallery. Apparently, Reid backtracked from his support given during the AGM, at the post-AGM press conference. A hack questioned what would occur if all referees declared their support for Rangers? Of course, all refs declaring for any one team causes the same impasse. However, I am hearing Reid sunk even lower whilst clambering atop the moral high ground. To a question about Sellik as a club's response on the day to the poopygate banner, Reid sanctimoniously replied, "Celtic is not a dividing name. Anything that incites hate is to be deplored. OUR LEVEL OF SIN IS LESS THAN OTHERS THOUGH". Oh really? This from a Chairman of a club that was responsible for a most reprehensible sporting scandal. This from a man that reduced a fellow MP, Dawn Primarolo to a state of fear and tears, due to his unwelcome drunken sex-pesting. This from a club whose Chief Executive, Peter Lawwell insisted on the maintenance of sporting integrity at the closing of season '07/08. Apparently, said season could NOT be extended to accomodate Rangers involvement in the UEFA cup final because ra Sellik had booked an end of season tour to Japan, which failed to materialise. This from a club that cannot put a signature block at the bottom of it's numerous letters of complaint to the SFA these last few years. Dr Reid, Baron of Cardowan should be packed of to Helmand Province, Afghanistan. He should be pitched into the front line with all the poor sods he sent there whilst Minister of Defence, he can demonstrate his integrity.

Breaking News: Rangers to be sold before Xmas
26th of foot replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Jim Traynor is SDM's journo of choice. Thus, Either, the deal is done hence Traynor being all over the story on both front and back pages. Or, SDM is utilising Traynor's influence to hurry other players to the table. -
The most effective way to deny oxygen to the odious corduroy creep, is to pull the pin on a white phos' grenade and then get medieval on him with a bayonet. Do I have a witness?

Spiers warblings last week had me in somewhat of a lather, he wrote a piece about the Gween Bwigade and managed to include a line about, 'Rangers cannot wait to get the Army on the pitch in full regalia'. As someone who spent over a dozen years replete in Disruptive Patterned Material, we called it a UNIFORM. I have NEVER heard any of the UNIFORMS decreed necessary to the task in hand ie Number 1 Dress, Numbers 2 Dress(ceremonial), Mess Dress, Blue Patrols, Combats, Lightweight Fatigues, Barrack Dress, .................... etc EVER referred to as 'Regalia'. Of course, Spiers knew what he was doing, the picture he was painting by incorporating that word. Soldiers have families, soldiers have relationships, and soldiers have sensitivities too. I suspect often during their six month operational tours of the several countries they are currently conducting a most professional approach, their minds turn to back home? The provision of an opportunity to walk on to a pitch and be applauded by an appreciative audience might be a veneer of comfort that gets them through another day in the most trying of circumstances? Spiers useage of 'regalia' is an attempt to conjure up an image that others will use to demonise those not deserving of the attentions of the odious corduroy creep.

May I suggest an alternative revenue stream for the soon to be jobless, Dirty Dingus McGhee? Andy Walker is forever relating how good a chanter Mad Mark is, to this end I propose a recording career beckons. A reworking of the old George Formby song, 'When I'm Cleaning Windows' to, 'When ah'm Lickin' windaes' would be a sure fire hit.

I tuned into BBC Radio Scotland last evening to hear the pain and anguish of Dandy Don, Rheinhart Gordon. There was an unexpected bonus some twenty minutes after the mighty Inversneckie had just humped Abergreen 1-2, Mark McGhee appeared trackside at the hill of dung to confront a microphone being held by Jim Spence. If you were inclined to be kind, it was a bullish and garrulous performance by McGhee, if you are a realist, Mad Mark took the opportunity to howl at the moon. The Ginger fae Forfar extended the invitation, "your team showed committment tonight"? I will paraphrase the two minute reply from Dirty Dingus : the players reacted well, undone by a soft penalty, really showed all that stuff said on Saturday was a load of rubbish, we did not run up the white flag at Celtic park, I have not lost the dressing room, everything went against us, ah mean everything, three penalties, an own goal, an inexperienced side, and everything went for Celtic, a big excited crowd, a highflying team, and HENRIK SITTING IN THE STAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There you go, in the world of McGhee; Paul Hartley, Zander Diamond, Chris Maguire, ................. and Dirty Dingus himself, were all mesmerised by HENRIK SITTING IN THE STAND! Nurse, the screens!

Shagger in Andalucia! Segovia should compose(if he stops decomposing) a flamenco to celebrate the very thought of McGregor blootered on Tio Pepe extra fino, servicing the senoritas on the Costa del Sol. I look forward to the first performance of 'El Fornicador'.

I believe there is no precedent for the bestowing of a posthumous Knightwood. Jim Traynor was quite illuminating on BBC Radio Scotland last Saturday evening, he offered that Jock Stein had been approached in late '67 about the possibility of a Knighthood in the New Year Honours' List. Stein refused, did not think it would sit with his Mining background and personna. The relevant authorities moved on to ra Sellik Chairman, Bob Kelly and he accepted the award with alacrity. Of course, the following year, Manchester United won the European Cup and a fellow Scot from a Lanarkshire mineworking background, Matt Busby had no hesitation in accepting the sword on his shoulders. All in all, I suspect Stein was badly advised at the time.
