  1. Welcome back Joe, badly missed.
  2. Can anyone tell me the last time Ramsay had 3 or 4 good games back to back? Got to be more than 5 years ago surely? I know the guy is/was a talented player "at his best" but that best is very rarely seen from what i recall. Another overpaid plodder taking up a shirt is not what we need to retain our title.
  3. As much as I am as worried as the rest of us over our defensive slip-ups and GVB tactics to sit on a lead instead of going on to kill an opponent, i watched the first half of the bheasts v arabs on saturday afternoon and the bheasts are truly awful. The game was 50/50 with United creating just as many good opportunities as them, and if we think our defence can be ropey, theirs is bloody rancid. It gave me a lot of comfort for Wednesday that all we need to do is turn up with the right attitude, cut out the individual errors, and we should win the match. I wont say comfortably as Gio will score and park the bus rather than go and kill them, but we should still win this match when looking at the two sides. We have to be very careful of the counter attack as they are very quick in transition but apart from that they create very little.
  4. Ok got that team quite wrong!! Kamara sands lowry wright Itten Sakala very interesting
  5. Tough game this evening without Hagi Kent & Alfie and up against the double decker buses. Tempo is key, an early goal would be massive, but I’ll take 3 points any way they come. Too many bears I’m speaking to talking about Hearts taking something off the bheasts, I’d rather all our focus is on Ibrox tonight and we can hear how that game went at FT. Im guessing a front 3 of Wright Roofe & Sakala with Kamara Arfield and another told to keep the flow fast and plenty of movement off the ball.
  6. Souttar's performance at Ibrox for Hearts earlier this season is the best performance I have seen by a domestic opponent for a couple of years. If we can bring him in for anything up to £500K, letting Goldson go to wherever is daft enough to give him the money he craves, and will should get a fee in excess of £500K for Goldson, and bring in a better player, younger, cheaper than the one leaving. It seems a total no-brainer to me.
  7. Has to be Lowry, lit up an otherwise typically dull cup-tie against a poor opponent. Other than him, this game only served to prove that Bacuna and Barker are just taking up a slot and wages and are not at the level required to contribute. Sakala had a good first half and Itten a good second. Lundstrum tidy.
  8. On one hand i'm delighted Joe will be back in our matchday squad sooner than perhaps expected, on the other hand I was quite happy for him to be in another continent until the transfer window closes! It is by no means certain he will be lining up against the bheasts just because he is back from international duty. I have absolutely no interest in AFCON so have no idea if he played well or not and if that will have any effect on potential bidders this window, but I really hope he stays with us for at least the rest of this season and he can maintain the form level he had with us so far this season. POTY stick-on at this stage.
  9. Delighted with the news that Goldson is leaving, hope it is this window. Had one good season and I thank him for that, but from what i hear he has seemingly asked for £70Kpw, which is nonsensical. He has cost us countless goals in big games by switching off, lack of pace and awareness, losing his man at set pieces a speciality. I thought he had turned the corner last season when he cut out all that nonsense and played consistently at a really high level, but this season he has went back to previous levels which is not good enough. Amazing fitness and a properly good pro and his contribution to 55 will never be forgotten, but I wont be sad to see the back of him.
  10. Well if nothing else that should be the last time we see Clancy this season.
  11. Big big game tonight and a big test of our title credentials. Always a tough game, and we have a really bad habit (2021 apart) of falling apart immediately after the winter break, so I think we as fans have a right to be very nervous about this one. Add in injuries, our best player this season missing the game, transfer speculation for many of our players which might affect them, it is no wonder the few tims I have spoken to this week are feeling there might be a shock tonight. Any kind of win tonight will go a long way to retaining the title, a good win couple with a good performance will send a message and make us all a lot more confident and comfortable.
  12. Wasnt aware of that, thanks for pointing that out. Hopefully all behind him now.
  13. Well deserved for both, although both should tell SPFL where to shove their awards, bunch of cheating chunts.
  14. Good luck to Defoe, a proper professional, hope he finds something suitable (playing, coaching or both) quickly. The sheer joy on his face at his OF goal showed you what it meant to him. Thanks for your contribution JD.
  15. I’m glad Itten is coming back, deserves another shot. Thought he looked really sharp in preseason and looked our sharpest striker at that time but SG clearly thought differently and moved him on.
  16. I was very impressed with Souttar in our game v Hearts at Ibrox earlier in the season, he was easily the MOTM and made a number of blocks, last gasp tackles, won every header. Yes he has had injuries over last few years but they are not the same and not recurring, so look positively and say he is fresher than most! I would certainly have him over Goldson who has went backwards this season at an alarming rate.
  17. Regarding our new American import , can I ask what position he is going to play in our starting 11? Nothing I have read so far gives an indication as to what his best position is. Does he play in only one position for USA?
  18. Probably this game here; https://www.rangers.co.uk/fixture/rangers-vs-celtic-scottish-premiership-2021-05-02/7LoXKBwKOeSJvwicTWn4vK
  19. D.Weir D.Weir D.Weir D.Weir D.Weir D.Weir D.Weir D.Weir D.Weir D.Weir D.Wier We all dream of a team of Davie Weirs.......
  20. That last paragraph should read the SPFL is encouraging clubs not to choose the 3rd option because they really want Rangers to suffer from no crowd at a home game, but not celtic.
  21. Let's face it, with the horrible incompetent folk in charge of both the SPFL and the kiddy on government in Edinburgh, there is absolutely no chance in hell this is a 3 week window with no fans and then we are back at 50,000 at Ibrox. I dont think we will get inside a full Ibrox again until Easter at the earliest. Obviously hope i'm wrong but wee Nippy and her cohorts have plenty of previous. The bheasts will know this also and are only wanting the break brought forward to get their squad back fit before they play us. Everyone else in the SPFL will of course vote along with the bheasts, as they will swallow the empty promises of an early break and full houses straight afterwards, which is virtually impossible to make happen. The only thing we can do about it is not allow our players to go to Africa if/when the fixtures are rescheduled for the same timeframe as the African Cup, and other than that, just keep winning and have up our sleeve that the bheasts were running scared of us and use it as incentive to knock them over at full strength in their own midden when we finally get the chance.
