  1. Utter bollocks. No Allan McGregor, no contest. Only at Rangers.
  2. Jorg Albertz, a classic example of Rangers non-sectarian, non-racist signing policy - proof if it was needed that there is absolutely no religious barrier at Rangers, within the club or in the stands. Few players have been more welcomed, more adored, more missed that this wonderful big German catholic. A hero to every Rangers fan and a player more committed to the club and its fans you could not find anywhere. I went to see him play for Clyde a few years back and there were more than a few other Rangers fans who had trailed over to Forthbank Stadium for the privilege of seeing him again. See Rangers and catholics, it's a myth you couldn't make up ..... unless you had the right agenda.
  3. PSV 4 - 0 Rangers Sadly, we're due a doing and we're likely to get one.
  4. What a total non event. Politicians and police grandstanding in the OF limelight while the reality of their much-vaunted "ills of Scottish society" remains as unacknowledged as ever. Only in Scotland eh? Now that the first division of poseurs has has it's moment in the sun, cue the lesser lights, equally drawn to their measure of publicity ... local politicians and every public-funded bunch of no marks who can raise an audience, eagerly sensing a trough of anti-sectarian money. Expect NBM to make a comeback.
  5. Yup, that's the Neil Murray I remember. However, he at least has the advantage of not having made an arse of himself yet (to the best of my knowledge anyway). Bomber on the other hand has hardly covered himself in glory during his post-playing career. Croneyism seems alive and well at Ibrox. Watch Durrant being appointed assistant manager.
  6. It's heartbreakingly funny how we freshen things up by bringing in old faces. It's even more incredible that we equate intelligence with accountancy. Maybe Gersnet and Rangers both need to raise the bar of expectation?
  7. You would hope so but any decent agent would try to limit that kind of clause to prevent barriers to his client moving.
  8. Absolutely. Better than him refusing a contract. Just conscious that we have almost no power to hold our best players any more.
  9. Let's not confuse signing a contract with committing his future. Nothing in that new contract will prevent him leaving in the summer if someone wants to make a decent offer, as per Danny Wilson.
  10. Oh here we go, Mr Pedantic finally makes an appearance. Can we agree that Bearwood Bear's views were confronted by McBride? And that the outcome was exactly as I described it? Not really such a distortion after all then.
  11. ....... but RST Chairman Stephen Smith duly makes an arse of himself when confronted by QC McBride on Tagio Scotland. Simply not up to the job unfortunately. All he has achieved is to present sellick's top QC with a public platform to parade his sellick good/rangers bad proposition. Fuck sake, is there no one who can combine the personal ambition of the RST with even a modicum of ability?
  12. The RST finally says something worthwhile ..... has there been another night of the long knives and real Rangers supporters have taken over.... Copied from post on VB The Board of the Rangers Supporters’ Trust offers unequivocal backing for Martin Bain, the Rangers Chief Executive, in his attempt to bring some sanity and balance to hysterical nonsense around the Scottish Cup tie on 2 March at Celtic Park. We also have serious concerns about Neil Ginger-toothed Bigot’s actions in the first half of this game* and cannot understand why no action was taken against Ginger-toothed Bigot either by match officials or the SFA for i) leaving his own technical area; ii) for intruding on the Rangers technical area, or; iii) for deliberate provocation. If the alleged contact between Diouf and the Celtic physiotherapist was such an issue for Mr Ginger-toothed Bigot, why did he not raise this with the 4th official standing about four feet away from him? We consider that the management team at Celtic FC are out of control and in our view this is evidenced by Mr Ginger-toothed Bigot’s previous behaviour at Tannadice and at Tynecastle, for which he received a four match ban. What we consider to be premeditated provocation and incitement of Rangers players and staff was continued last Wednesday evening in the tunnel in Celtic Park after the half time whistle in scenes captured on Sky television. We are also in possession of documentary evidence from Strathclyde Police Chief Superintendent Andrew Bates, referring to Neil Ginger-toothed Bigot’s provocative gestures towards the West Enclosure and Main Stand during the game at Ibrox on 6 February, stating that: “The alleged conduct of the Celtic manager, Neil Ginger-toothed Bigot, was noted by my ground commander and highlighted to the match referee at half time and at the conclusion of the match. In my view as match commander it was entirely appropriate for the match referee to include the circumstances of the alleged incident to the Scottish Football Association for their consideration as part of this match report.” If the referee and the SFA had acted on this, perhaps the Celtic management team would have behaved more responsibly? This incident was immediately followed by an alleged incident between the Celtic manager and El Hadji Diouf, Steven Naismith and Vladimir Weiss in the tunnel after half time, an incident which had a direct bearing on what happened on 2 March. We are now asking Rangers to reveal precisely what took place and why this had such a major effect on subsequent events. All the incidents cited above are at the very least cause for concern and we therefore call on the SFA to conduct a meaningful and thorough investigation into these issues as soon as practicable. Stephen Smith Chairman, Rangers Supporters' Trust
  13. It's always possible a deal has been done in the background and this is the quid pro quo.
  14. Just make fuckin sure you get a pickled egg with mine this week.
  15. And that's not a mere fashion statement. Neither does it ignore his previous successes. But it is a justifiable question in light of recent failures.
  16. Whittaker - hopeless, no character, get rid pronto, take what we can get Edu - flatters to deceive, can't pass, no balance, get rid and raise some money Lafferty - much as I like his general attitude, he's not a winger and he'll never command a main striker role, get rid and raise some cash Fleck - hasn't been able to take his chances and he's had a few Weir - been a fantastic buy but is playing on borrowed time
  17. What Bain should have said is that his player was racially abused by the Celtic manager? That's what underlies these events and it's the one thing that needed saying but which Bain has completely sidestepped. Had he come out and said this, the entire affair would have been turned inside out and the Holyrood mob would have run a mile from any formal hearing in case it forced a police investigation of the ginger twat.
  18. What is this all about from Corrigan (hmm, origin of that name)? Self-publicity? Courting the attention of his superiors? Preparing for political office? Wanting the Cardinal to christen his grandchild? How is it that this sort of thing is tolerated from a senior policeman, who has no role to make such statements? Oh silly me, he's one of them.
  19. There is of course a third option .... he could say the right thing.
  20. I think there are far more pressing issues here than what fucking formation we use. The stink of defeat lies heavy around Rangers, the players are fundamentally weak, the leadership is worn out and entrenched, the club is broke and the board is inept, the ownership issue is the longest-running farce in town, the club has no friends left in the media to rally support, the fans are more divided and rudderless than ever, Rangers are pariahs in their own back yard. There's no energy left in the club and what you see on the park is the evidence of it. Sorry but two up front isn't the solution to Rangers woes. It's a deeper problem than will be solved on the tactics board.
  21. You may be giving Bain credit he doesn't deserve. Anyway, the fact we had players and management screaming at each other while our team performed like amateurs on the park is doubly depressing. Now saying it was down to what was said to two of our players in the tunnel after a previous game is pathetic, schoolboy stuff really. Ffs is that what Rangers is about these days, Jock Wallace would kick every arse at Ibrox from now to judgement day. Is that really what we plan to stand up and say at Alex Salmond's hearing?
  22. Unfortunately you don't get marks for astute comment in this game. Just watch how celtic react and what they give the press to chew on, it will make Bain look like a schoolboy.
  23. Can't fault you for trying but you'd be as well trying to get blood out of a stone as looking for positives from yesterday. There aren't any ..... unless you want to assume we intentionally set out to lose, in which case we were entirely successful.
