  1. Good to see the boys at RST have found something to occupy themselves while the club falls apart. "The heart of the club"? And some people say irony is dead.
  2. Sorry, can't see much basis for confidence. We'll need some of the newbies to shine.
  3. Of course we have to be happy considering the players we could have lost but didn't.
  4. I think we should forget what we hear, football people are notorious for partisan comment. I'd rather judge him on what he does at Rangers. That's all that interests me.
  5. Exactly. Milking our misery for the benefit of their target audience "others won't shed tears for Ramgers". When your teeth fall out in the jungle you're going to get attacked.
  6. There is no cause for hope that I can see. But if we stand around waiting for a 'leader' then we'll wait forever and achieve nothing. My point is that unless people do something without someone doing it for them then we'd be as well shutting the doors now. The RST and others have been the most effective gag on the supporter voice of them all and have created a culture of leave it to someone else. Ffs we're like a bunch of children waiting for someone tp fix it for us. It's pathetic and hugely disappointing .... and it weighs on every one of us, there are none of us who escape blame..... that's probably the only place to start from.
  7. Agreed, it's beyond childish and helps absolutely no one. It needs to stop, I left FF years ago to get away from stuff like that.
  8. It's not the layer who has let anyone down but those who made the decision to take him to Ramgers
  9. To answer the topic title, not a chance in hell.
  10. Thankfully, the effect of Murray showing his fat arse at Ibrox would be hugely negative, something Dirty Dave would find too hard to swallow. He's a complete shite bag and the chances of him riding into town unchallenged are very much reduced, as are his chances of making the slightest difference to our situation.
  11. Sorry to resort to a more base appraisal but there are no supporters bodies, only windbags clustered around egos. The tolerance of these "bodies" is shameful, as is the idea that no one can do anything without some other grandiose "leader". Of course I can see the point being made about a leader but Rangers fans have suffered enough from so-called leaders, every one of which, from what I can see, has sacrificed every decent principle for their own self-promotion. In that respect, more of this fucking leadership cult is exactly what we do not need. How many times have I seen the failings of these "bodies" excused because they were at least prepared to sacrifice their time for the cause? Some sacrifice! Some cause. All this amounts to is more abdication of responsibility by the average supporter, who clearly has too little real commitment to bother his/her arse about the fate of Rangers. Certainly not enough to take part in any protest that might wipe away the pretence being perpetrated by Murray and the doughnuts currently running the club.
  12. Someone should be fired for the Beattie fiasco. Only in football could you get away with piss poor judgement like that. Choosing which player to sign will always involve a huge element of subjectivity but signing a player that you never actually play is altogether more culpable.
  13. I find it interesting and hugely disappointing to look at Rangers and Celtic today and consider the mirror image we saw twenty years ago. Who remembers Celtic's transfer dealings back then and didn't find them satisfyingly pathetic, desperate even. We looked at some of the players they were bringing in and we knew, we absolutely knew, they would fail. We understood it was all they could afford and we gloated because we also knew with total assurance that those signings were simply consolidating failure within the walls of parkhead. We saw their squad as mere confirmation of the superiority of Rangers and the widening gulf between our success and their failure. Now look at the two clubs today and the situation appears to be completely reversed. It strikes me that we have increasingly little prospect of winning the league title this season .... unless of course you win titles merely by wishing it. Our squad is already threadbare, our signings increasingly pointless, and every bit as desperate and deprived as those of celtic twenty years ago. I fear what then lay in front of them now lies in front of us and no amount of bluster and bravado will change the inevitable, final decline of Murray's rotten boasts all those years ago. Why state this now? Just indulging in self-pity? Well no, it would be nice to think that if we would actually admit what lies ahead of us, we might not feel inclined to wait two or three years before expressing what we think about it. We might want to think about persuading the likes of Bastard Murray that he should shoulder public accusation for the result of his management policies at Rangers. Most people call it protest.
  14. Ahahaha, double bluff! Where's yer style now then?
  15. Ach I only refrained because yer such a decent chap really.
  16. You could be right but either way the real point is that another timeline of expectation was hung in the air and, predictably, is inevitably being replaced with disappointment. I can see nothing Whyte/Ellis know now that they don't know when predictions were being made so either they were never as sincere as they were prepared to make out or (probably) Murray's feet? are still dragging. I don't know how but we could really do with bringing the spotlight back on Murray.
  17. Why all the gloom about Healy signing for us? A good flute playing No Surrender man if ever there was one. If I didn't know better I'd think Gersnet was displaying bigoted anti-proddy sentiment. I think we SHOULD sign him and release a new orange strip to mark the occasion. But I also think the club should play the Sash before during and after games at Ibrox .. loudly.
  18. Including today, that's only three days left before Craig Whyte announces his takeover of Rangers - it is still January isn't it? I wonder if he'll leave it until Monday .... or take advantage of the Sunday papers, all of which will already have their pieces ready to go with heads up he gave us all about announcements in January. Or it could be announced to catch the football programmes today. Personally, I think the entire thing is a crock of arse gravy which will no doubt quietly fade until season ticket time comes around again. Either way the latest chancer to be rebuffed by Dirty Dave should have kept his mouth closed.
  19. Sheer elitism mate, there's probably no end to their perks.
  20. I nearly said he'd hooked a bigmouth bass but wasn't sure I'd get away with it:fish:
  21. Aye but there are a lot of fish in these waters. Getting a Bermudan Pike first cast is still remarkably good fishing though.
  22. It's the truth I tell ye! Doomed, we're all doomed.
  23. We're not just liars, we're serial liars and we'll lie shamelessly to anyone who'll listen. By 'we' I mean the directors and management and staff of Rangers. Whether Murray lying about his intentions for the club or Jardine lying about a dead ex-captain's family asking for a minutes applause to mark his passing, the club is corrupt from top to bottom. Mostly though they just fail to tell the truth. What was once a club synonymous with moral stature and integrity os now a sordid mess. Ask yourself, who at Rangers would you really trust? It won't be a long list. It might not even be a list at all. Worst of all are the fans, who have been lying to themselves for many years.
  24. Begging scraps from the table is one thing but employing celtic cast offs is quite unacceptable for Rangers. Perhaps Walter feels vindicated by Miller but I'll tell him now Riordan will find nothing but hostility at Ibrox. Ffs is there no pride left at all?
  25. No and thrice no. Having just lost one player contaminated by the green and grey the last thing we need is to find another one.
