  1. You make some good points but I have to take issue with something you and many others are saying or inferring ... that the current board have failed to speak up during David Murray's period of ownership. How do we know they did not speak up against the current regime, individually or collectively, officially or otherwise? Where is the evidence of this? Who has scrutinised the board minutes and who believes dissent would have been minuted anyway? I'm not going out of my way to defend anyone for the board's performance during recent years but it's altogether another thing to condemn people for failing to affect change in a regime where one person controls over 90% of the club. Directors have a legal duty to act both in compliance of the law and in the interest of the shareholders - and that means in the interest of David Murray. Perhaps they should but the fact is the Directors are not there to act in your interest or mine. That's just a fact, however unpalatable.
  2. I've heard it said that the only meaningful role of the football club chairman is to deliver finances for the manager. in any case, why would any Rangers supporter have a problem with our chairman wanting two rival bids competing for the club, wherever they come from? We need to get our heads round two fact. Firstly that the end game is only just beginning and secondly that we should only judge the merits of the bidding parties if we actually have some facts at our disposal. Speculation about who is most suitable is, above all, pointless.
  3. The only way to fully defuse the situation and perhaps to wrong foot the bheast in the process would be for the Rangers supporters to make a declaration directly and independently to UEFA, renouncing said songs and committing to a different future. Somehow can't see it happening but the effect would be most wholesome. What a pity certain people made such a right royal fuck up of the RST eh?
  4. You trying to say Celtic are not perennial downtrodden underdog victims? You're going to break a few bheast hearts with those posts.
  5. I think you're hitting the nail on the round flat bit. Having got here at last, there seems no advantage in rushing to a conclusion that I can see. I'm more worried about SDM trying to push through a sale quickly if the terms of the Whyte deal suit him - and if it suits SDM then you can be damn sure it will be at our expense. We can wait a little longer.
  6. Damned if I can see the big fuss about administration or why Rangers should be denied a mechanism that has been used by many businesses as a way out of trouble. Are we not in trouble? I'm not advocating it as there is a lot of information needed before judging the merits but neither would I discount it on the basis of not liking the sound of it.
  7. You've got to love Mad Joe, who's given us untold hours of fun over the years. Bonkers but never dull.
  8. I think the whole thing is getting blown up out of all proportion. They lit the fuse with their damned paranoia and now in a flash they're diving for cover. It's clearly an explosive situation but it will be dynamite if it turns out to be true.
  9. That's "tha mise gu math, agus thusa" Knew you were a weegie fraud.
  10. Chaps, it's much better to go through this now than a prolonged period of infighting after a deal goes through. Keep the faith, these are all Rangers people we're talking about but the takes are high and they're entitled to want to win. Stop the nonsense about this damaging the club - the state we're in does anyone think a few more scratches on the paintwork will really make any difference.
  11. feasgar math 's ciamar a tha thu
  12. We could do with a little competition. If Craig Whyte is going to run off at the first sign of a challenge then he's definitely not the owner we need - but I doubt he will. It would be reasonable to hope some people might think Rangers worth fighting over. I think the real game is only just starting and we need to accept that it could run for a while yet ...or not.
  13. Wtf are you smoking these days? (no chemical formulae, price and source will do)
  14. Make that very educated! FGAU
  15. I doubt very much indeed if these devices have anything at all to with Rangers fans. There's no reason to make that assumption at all. We've enough to put up with from the bheasts without blaming ourselves.
  16. How much detail would £20 buy?
  17. I apologize unreservedly and beg forgiveness
  18. OK sorry - urine-taking
  19. You'll not miss it. Good to have you here but watch out for the erratic, piss-taking trouble makers. That bastard Zappa is the worst but just complain as soon as he appears.
  20. Enjoy your agogrity. You know only too well I would like to have seen Murray gone ten years ago but one dishonest fukker being replaced by another is going to do nothing but prolong the agony. Neither you nor I have any reason to see Whyte as a good owner and I think we should do before supporting his case.
  21. Well fukk me, I must be slipping!
  22. What I think is that only those with the facts in front of them are in a position to judge this. AJ heads up the committee charged with scrutinizing Whytes terms and his statement is the ONLY information we have as to the suitability or otherwise of Whyte's offer. The rest of it is a mixture of uninformed gossip, speculation and malicious shit stirring, in which case why wouldn't I welcome AJ's statement. I would also expect everyone to be suspicious of Whyte - it's a bit late to be suspicious after the event.
