  1. Anyways Back on topic. I think that the new Spain manager would be crazy to overlook King Carlos. They might feel like they're on top of the world right now after winning the Euros, but he was just voted into the team of the season (European competition). You'd have to be daft (understatement) to overlook a talent like Cuellar ...even if he is playing in the SPL
  2. I think you meant to say 8-1-1
  3. ...Either that or both McDowall and Durrant are A/B squad 1st team coaches, except McDowall sits in the dugout while Durrant stays behind at Murray Park (with the B-squad). I'm confused myself now
  4. ...or we could always put it like A-squad, B-squad, and reserves. In which case Durrant is the B-squad coach
  5. AFAIK He's still the 1st team coach. I think it's just some restructuring to do with the fact that we now have as big a squad ...Then there's the younger players who've come through the youth set-up, but aren't getting a regular game. So essentially we've now got a set-up with 1st team players (starters) coached by McDowall. 1st team reserves (squad players) coached by Durrant. Then there's the 'reserves'(left-overs) dealt with by ???
  6. I like him as well and he's undoubtedly got some sort of coaching ability, but I'm not really sure how much we should take this as news. He was already spying on our Euro opponents last season and by the sounds of it he's still a reserves coach (albeit, 1st team reserves as opposed to frozen-out scroungers). I suppose, no news is good news. ....or better than bad news at least
  7. Hey if he's given a shot for Spain he might just end up with that squad number. It's available http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spain_national_football_team Otherwise, Fraser will need some red tip-ex
  8. It'll be funny when they revise the squad no's for this season and (like I suspect) Cuellar's given the no.4
  9. ....and most of those 28 sub appearances have been for less than 10 mins.
  10. An interesting point to note on Hemdani - He may well have been the Marseille skipper, but in four years he made less than half the number of appearances as he's made for Rangers in three.
  11. ...Don't forget the 2 goals At least they were for the Gers
  12. Oh go on then ...You've twisted my arm Kris Boyd Appearances 194 (+ 78 as sub); Goals 137 or if you're only interested in what he's done for the Gers: Appearances 78 (+ 28 as sub); Goals 71
  13. To get back on topic, just don't ask me for the career stats for BH
  14. Give that man a prize ...Oh well, at least he gives 110%
  15. Could be mate, but you have to agree it's not a bad return we've had from the wee man so far. If not then we've always got this to look forward to next season: Guess Who??? Appearances 257 (+ 82 as sub); Goals 89
  16. The stats I've got say that since his debut for Rangers on the 7th August 2004, Novo has scored 53 goals in 111 appearances (+ 57 subs). That's not too bad for a striker, nevermind the fact that half the time he's been playing on the wing.
  17. OK then, let's put it this way... Nacho Novo Career Stats: Appearances 219 (+ 72 as sub); Goals 108 If you think you can match that then by all means go and try out for the Gers team. Good Luck
  18. If Walter had been in charge of that same lot for the entire season, I doubt very much that we would have. As was the case with Weir, which is still more than we got from Sebo & Sionko and can still expect to get from the likes of Burke That's maybe a little bit harsh. I'd agree that he hasn't been as good as we know he can be though. He was you know But he's a bluenose and he always gives 110% As the Auxxere coach said after we had just signed Prso and Novo. 'I can't believe they have 2 foreign strikers who'll run through brick walls for the team' Quality
  19. :fish: He knows we all love him
  20. That's the point though. The season before last, despite playing 'out of position' for most of the season, amongst all sorts of dressing room unrest and under 2 (very) different managers, BH was easily our most consistent and reliable player. As for 'best of a bad lot', well just remember we still had players like Hutton and Prso, not to mention others like Ferguson, McGregor, Novo and (dare I say it) Boyd. Hemdani was a stand-out and had it not been for the troubles we had as a team could've been POTY.
  21. That Liverpool friendly on the Saturday between the 2 legs could be a problem. Hope we don't pick up any unnecessary injuries
  22. We're getting there... If I can argue that I don't like them and do know why, but just don't like repeating myself. Also that you apparently do like them and don't care why I don't (or haven't read it). Fair Enough
  23. Don't get too excited there buddy. That sh*t will make you go 'blind'. Didn't you know?
  24. Having seen the spoils from the sort of money that Motherwell players can rake in, it does kind of put it all into perspective, when you've got someone at our club doing f**k-all and his wages are beyond their budget. Whether we agree with or understand the gaffer's reasons for not playing him, it's about time us lot stop showing loyalty to Gow for no apparent reason.
  25. Might want to avoid wearing hoops from now on Kenny? As much as some folk, including yourself (apparently) may see a joke in there somewhere... I don't get it TBH and I'm just hoping the 'joke' isn't on us
