  1. And I think that's why we need to change our mindset as a support. We always want a manager silver bullet, one single man who will fix all our problems. Football just doesn't work like that anymore. There are no Walters, or Alex Fergusons. In theory, pretty much any manager we bring in, as long as they match the vision and ideas of the football operations team should be able to lead us to success. Its a bit like the 'Why are Bayern hiring Kompany' thing.
  2. Here we go, Coady, Vardy, Pearce at left back, Ray Parlour in midfield, Waddle on the wing. Its coming home! Thelwell and Purdy doing a great job.
  3. Propper going back to twente. Agreed a deal with them, now the clubs just need to agree. On X.
  4. Aggressive, dominate, work hard. That's what we want.
  5. Cant wait to hear him speak. Been a big fan of his for years. His style will be a perfect fit for us. Myself and @Rousseau will be vindicated here.
  6. I'd urge people to watch this stuff, I watched lots of videos since the news broke. Lots of details going about.
  7. Win the league and get into the group stage of the CL. While picking up a cup or two. And leathering the rotten mob a few times. That will do for a starter.
  8. I'm more concerned that the players might not get the necessary carb loading from the pre match meal of tofu and mung beans.
  9. I think we can all agree on what can lead to success.
  10. I have outlined some initial concerns, but now he is here it is time to look at the positives(like the ones you have highlighted) and back him to succeed. I will also be very consistent from here on in. If it doesn't work out for Martin, I refuse to blame him. We know exactly what he is, what are his strengths, and weaknesses. Its up to the DoF and football ops team to support and enable him. If it doesn't work out, its on them. Not him. If he is successful, they will all deserve credit as a unit.
  11. It is now the most integral part of the machine. The pressure needs to be 100% on them to enable Martin to succeed. We all know the squad is garbage. Over to them to change it.
  12. He's used to dealing with massive tits, so dealing with these players should be a doddle.
  13. And fullbacks according to this I watched earlier. Jefte is a fit for this, but a declining Tav, Ridvan and Sterling don't fit at all. Lots of work ahead for Martin & co.
  14. He's off to a good start. Keeps rosary beads in his back pocket Hired his wee pal as head of recruitment Hired a green party member and vegan as manager Bring back that wee James Bond baddie Wilson. All is forgiven.
  15. If the board think he is the man to take us forward, they need to back him in the transfer market. Don't appoint him and expect him to do anything with this squad of toilets.
  16. Its also going to be x many residents who will be able to object to any future building works, concerts, parking, around the stadium. Its so short sighted.
  17. Its a shocker. No idea what they were thinking.
  18. Stevie Clifford said on his podcast Thelwell has been living up here for months, and working in the background for some time. Regardless, things will be moving. We just cant see it yet.
  19. This is the best case scenario about his style, if it goes well in theory we control the game overall and can suffocate opponents. It is reliant on us creating lots of quality chances and keeping clean sheets. I'm sceptical but all we can do is wait and see. If they do hire him, they need to back him in the transfer market or he is doomed to failure.
