Things would get pretty interesting if the American's got a hold of the Edinburgh clubs and put their know how into them. To go off on a bit of a tangent, the MLS clubs are worth hundreds of millions of dollars in some cases yet have absolutely bang average playing squads. So it'll be interesting seeing them operate in the SPL. Although what he's stated in the article is just simple fact, it is all about the Rangers, it always has been.

Naturally you'd think the little general would have opted for a standard 4-3-3 being Dutch n all, but I've been reading lately here and there, that he often '' favoured '' an asymmetric 4-4-2. Is that right? I just remember the guys playing some beautiful stuff, the link up play between De boar and Ferguson was mouth watering at times. Any of you remember how he lined up and with what players?

I've just remembered John Souttar is coming in to the club this summer. He's another one who flakes after a few games and spends a lot of time on the treatment table. I really hope he doesn't turn into Andy Webstar 2.0.

First thing that needs to happen is to lose all the injury prone players from the club. This was something of an unhealthy habit from the previous manager that needs corrected pronto. I want to see at least 2 youth players getting starts next season. Then GVB can pepper in some Dutch players if he chooses. I'd happily take a season of allowing the players to bed in and and grow into themselves but after that we need to start filling the trophy room again. I'm quietly confident in GVB. I can't judge him until he has had his own pre season and players signed.

Proud of the lads. A hell of a journey. An absolute shitter of a way to lose a game but they gave it a go. No Morelos and others missing. Proud.
