  1. Can see what your saying Ergatrude, but I still don't think this idea that dropping down to the 3rd division is going to be as straight forward as some people are making out. I just can't see how a club of our size can survive going through the lower divisions without running out of money again. Maybe the fans would show up the first year to show support but if we didn't go straight up that year, interest would wane massively and the shit would hit the fan again. I still think its better to stay in the SPL if we can and fight them from within. Though in saying that, I do think that liquidation or 'newco' is probably going to be the end result here.
  2. It's a romantic idea. Starting in the 3rd division and winning each league every year until we get back into the SPL and become champions again four years later. If only. I just don't see how our club set-up, as large as it is, could survive through those lower divisions. The maintenance and running costs of Ibrox alone must be massive and would we be able to keep Auchenhowie going (I doubt it). The standard of player would be so much worse than we have now that there's no guarantee we would win the leagues each year. Hanging over us would be the threat of running out of money again and so it starts all over again. Not for me. I hate the SFA and SPL for what they are doing to us but I'd still prefer to stay where we are.
  3. Right now I think there's too many obstacles for our club to avoid liquidation. If the governing bodies don't want us what chance have we got.
  4. But surely the longer Ticketus fanny about, the closer we get to liquidation which would mean they get absolutely none of their money back. Or am I wrong? I like most people on here believed what TB had put on (I don't doubt with good intentions) but today I'm angry at myself for believing another rumour. I just want this finished now.
  5. I wasn't that keen on TBK's either mainly because they didn't seem to have the funds behind them but right now I'd take them over any of the other options.
  6. Thank god, hope it's true. Just can't understand why they've left it so late. These guys are all playing with our clubs survival.
  7. I know it's easier said than done, but I wish Kennedy and Paul Murray would get together and just get a deal done if they are so keen to save us.
  8. If he's serious about wanting to ensure the club survives he may have to. I still wish the admins hadn't rejected him so quickly as I think he was the right man to take us forward.
  9. Fuck me, our club is on its knees and I come on here to get as much info as I can and I've got to read the pish that's just been posted on the last few pages. Get a grip and keep to the original topics please!
  10. "In the event of Kennedy taking control, it is understood boardroom roles would be offered to Souness and Walter Smith." Fuck it, that's enough for me. Get him in asap!!
  11. What's funny is that even his own club aren't backing him. Hopefully they've finally had enough of his aggressive, thugish behaviour and lies....though I wouldn't bet on it! Why would anybody believe a word he says after this?
  12. The one with Ally celebrating just shows what our club means to him. Had tears in my eyes seeing that, and nobody deserved yesterday more than him for what he's had to go through recently. Great day made possible by a superb team performance and immense support from the fans.
  13. Any chance he's playing it low-key with all this 'only a fall-back' stuff as some kind of strategy?
  14. According to STV News they mentioned 2 more.... an american company Fortress and another consortium (glasgow based I think).
  15. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11788/7551427/Rangers-fined-by-stock-exchange Rangers have been hit with a £50,000 fine by the PLUS Stock Exchange for failing to disclose Craig Whyte's previous disqualification as a director when the businessman completed his takeover of the club in May last year. Whyte was disqualified in 2000 for seven years but Rangers did not announce this until 30th November, six weeks after the Insolvency Service had confirmed the fact. Rangers have been issued with the fine and a public censure following an investigation by the stock exchange, who suspended trading in the club's shares last month because of their failure to publish audited accounts. A statement from PLUS read: "The amount of the regulatory fine has been determined taking into account a range of factors including, but not limited to, the seriousness of the rule breach and the circumstances of Rangers FC." PLUS revealed Rangers had sought to challenge their disciplinary ruling on 14th February, the day they went into administration, but administrators Duff and Phelps withdrew the referral to the disciplinary committee last week.
  16. Pledge made. Great idea, just wish I could afford to pay more. On a side note what happens to shares in the club I already own, have they disappeared now?
  17. But would that be a situation where liquidation could happen BH or is that not connected to Whyte not being 'fit and proper'?
  18. This definitely seems most likely scenario. Just can't understand how he thought he would get away with it.
  19. I think he almost said "Celtic have stood on their own since TIME began" Ha Ha, pure class!!
  20. Whatever has been said about Ally's match tactics etc, he is handling this situation with great humility and dignity. A lesson for those across the city.....
  21. That was class, what a tit he made of himself! I was cringing for him. Have to say though, how can you debate about whether they need us with two septic-minded people. Bit one-sided you would think, though it did become a bit heated lol
  22. Don't really care what happens to him, as long as our clubs survives this intact.
  23. Part of me thinks he's a con-man but because of that he may be our saviour, as he knows all the dodges to get us through this. Fucked up I know.....
  24. If that was true, what would be his reason for that? Can't imagine it would be for the club's benefit. Would this not have come out sooner also?
  25. FFS, not sure I can take this anymore. Getting really scared now, and I had just been feeling better!
