  1. Calscot, I agree that if we put all of them in at the same time it would not work. But we keep seeing young players appear in the first team, do well then they disappear again with more experienced replacing them who are playing terrible week in, week out. As for the shit signings, I don't mean them all but surely we have better youth than players like Beattie, Lafferty and Edu?
  2. Brilliant news! We reallly need to get these young guys (Hutton, Ness, Wylde, Hemmings and Cole) playing as much as possible, as I think they are good enough to be mainstays in our team in the future. They can't be any worse than the sh*t we keep buying surely!
  3. Exactly, so it's all down to a Tim connection not thanks to us being the only team in Scotland who actually does anything in Europe....FFS!!

    Davis

Yeah, but I think he's already said that this season IIRC.....
  5. I actually think thats the make or break decision for WS now. If he drops Weir we have a chance of getting something this season, if he doesn't its more of the same I'm afraid!

    Davis

Davis has been terrible this season, but he's not alone. Too many times he loses possession and makes no effort to track back or help out defence. I was getting really frustrated on Sunday when we lost the ball and you looked at our midfield who were sitting so far off Celtic it was unreal. Neither Edu, Davis or Bartley bust a gut to close them down and thats criminal. We play so much better when we press the opposition.
  7. I agree bluedan. Im realistic enough to know that we would be underdogs in most european games these days, but is being a football fan not about dreaming your team can beat the better teams and cause an upset like we did when we made it to the final. I also think we are playing better than we did that year. Until we can afford better players this is the way it'll be for a bit yet but I still love watching our team compete in any competition hoping we do well. What happened to NO SURRENDER??
  8. Cant even be arsed reading it.......bring it on :spl:
  9. I've got a few as well. Strange thing is if you look on ebay there are loads at only a couple of quid, some quite old too.
  10. "The £2.4million signing from Scunthorpe made a blistering start to his Hoops career with a goal against SC Braga" FFS, what a load of pish.....if thats a blistering start, how would they describe Kenny's start to the season!!
  11. 11.15 k/o 0-0 at half-time but not much goalmouth action.
  12. Not much of a game but weather and pitch is shocking!! Just hope we dont get any injuries....
  13. I agree, was never that keen on him. Just hope we don't keep selling players to free up money to buy new players, then the deals for the new players keep falling through. We'll end up with an even more threadbare squad than we have just now. Can't see why anyone would join us right now unless they were struggling somewhere else.
  14. More rubbish probably, but I'd rather keep Thomson at Ibrox to see if he recapture his best form. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/2010/05/11/boro-boss-gordon-strachan-lines-up-swoop-for-rangers-ace-kevin-thomson-86908-22249947/ GORDON STRACHAN is ready to launch a shock raid on Rangers for midfield lynchpin Kevin Thomson - as the crown jewel of another huge recruitment drive from the SPL. Record Sport can reveal the Middlesbrough manager has placed Thomson's name at the top of a six-strong list of transfer targets based north of the border and believes the financial carnage at Ibrox may help him land his man. Strachan is aware the 25-year-old is about to enter into the final season of his contract and with the crisis-hit SPL champs unsure about future budgets Thomson, left, has still not been offered an extension. That means Rangers could face losing one of their most valuable assets for nothing in 12 months' time and Strachan plans to exploit the situation by offering Thomson a bumper long-term deal on Teesside. Long-time admirers West Brom are also monitoring Thomson's situation but Strachan has jumped to the front of the queue in his rush to prepare Boro for next season's Premiership promotion push. He is also interested in Hearts winger Andy Driver, Morgaro Gomis of Dundee United, Hibs defender Sol Bamba, Celtic full-back Mark Wilson and has already opened contract talks with Thomson's Ibrox buddy Nacho Novo. But, in Thomson, Strachan believes he could land himself the bargain of the summer for a fee of less than £3million - around half of what Rangers boss Walter Smith would expect to rake in for the player in normal circumstances. Thomson, who recently became a dad for the first time, has already made it clear he wishes to stay at Ibrox and sign a new four-year contract . However, Rangers might be unable to offer any kind of long-term security unless a new owner takes over the club this summer. Six of Smith's squad - Davie Weir, Novo, Kris Boyd, DaMarcus Beasley, Stevie Smith and Kirk Broadfoot - are already out of contract but Thomson is one of another group of key players who, with only 12 months left on their deals, are also looking for clarity. And a source at the Riverside told Record Sport: "The manager has made it clear he plans to go in heavy across the border this summer because he believes the players are of a higher quality than in the Championship. "Novo could be the first to arrive but there is no doubt landing Thomson would be a major coup for the club. Gordon is working on putting something together and trying to take advantage of the uncertainty off the field at Rangers . "He knows he can offer the lad the kind of security Rangers simply cannot get close to."
  15. Just cant understand the thinking of guys like Totti and Gisabeer right now.....we are in such shit just now that we need to ensure we at least keep winning the SPL and there's no better man for that than Walter. After that anything we get from Europe is a bonus. We cannot afford to go down the PLG road again....that could literally kill us off!
  16. Just downloaded it using 7digital.co.uk too. Top 10 here we come!!
  17. Unbelievable!! Wot a piss laff......Keane was hardly in the game and they forget he won''t improve their defence. GIRUY!! HAHAHAHA!!
  18. From Sky Sports website: Rangers centre-back Madjid Bougherra has revealed he wants to leave Ibrox next summer - and has issued a 'come and get me' plea to the top clubs in England. While the 27-year-old says he is happy with Walter Smith's side at present, he would like to move on in the summer. And, having experienced a taste of the English top flight with Charlton in the 2006/07 campaign, he would like to return now he is in his prime. The Algerian international told the Sunday Mirror: "I have plenty of options from among the English, Spanish and French leagues, but my wish is to return to England and play for a good Premier League club. Dream "I have already had a taste of the Premier League with Charlton and my dream is to make a return now I am at the top of my game. "I am happy at Rangers and don't want to leave them during the January transfer window. "Besides, it would be tricky to change clubs just while the African Nations Cup is under way. "I have no doubt that the best time for me to leave will be next summer, just after the World Cup finals."
  19. Bit late, but I got an email about the AGM but cant work out how to print off my entrance card. Any advice would be great thanks.....
  20. I was the same as you Craig. Watching pre-season and the way we were playing fast attacking football, I couldn't wait for the season to start but a couple of games into it and something went wrong. Whether thats due to injuries to important first team players or just a lack of confidence throughout the team for some reason I dont know. I remember when we signed Rothen saying on the forum that Davis, Thomson, Mendes and Rothen would hopeully make a great midfield but not one of those players has played anywhere near the standard required at Rangers so far this season. I was a WS supporter but I have to say the way he continually plays players out of position, changes the team on a weekly basis and he cant be coaching corners or free-kicks as they are woeful (and have been for a long time) then I can't wait til our financial predicament is over and we get a new management team. Although that wont be til next season I would think.
  21. Exactly!! Does that not say it all? Why do players continually play crap for us then move away and get rave reviews?? Seems to happen far too often....
  22. Definitely hope he gets back to full fitness eventually, because we are carrying him right now. Maybe he should play next few months with reserves to get fit, as we cant afford to have him off the pace so much. Saying that, theres a few others who should be in the reserves!! Whittaker has had a few shockers this year and has been found out defensively. Davis has been another major disappointment and with the midfield mis-firing what chance do the strikers have?
