  1. Even their 'prodigal son' pish is a sham. For context, Tony Mowbray played the same number of games for Celtic as Maurice Ross did for Rangers. Hardly a legend!
  2. Correct. The situation has improved from 'very bad' to 'bad' as a result of CL qualification. Not sure what people are expecting tbh, sad as it might be.
  3. I don't rate Tevez as fantastic, but maybe thats just me. As I've posted previously, Man City need 2 or 3 top ENGLISH players then they can really go places.
  4. Very interesting development. Intriguing actually. Money talks for everybody, including the other 10 teams. Many of them play to 5-7k averages and must be really really tight for cash so any uplift would be hard for them to oppose.
  5. haha, first Chick Young and now Walter Smith!!!! BRILLIANT lol
  6. I think a lot of us will be very very interested to see how BF gets on in the EPL. He will either shut a helluva lot of people up or prove a lot of people right. I've never been one for slagging BF too much (apart from his stinking attitude sometimes) and it was only last season I started to feel the team was no poorer when he wasn't there. I'd like him to have a great couple of seasons but I'll be honest and say I'll be surprised if he looks anything but quite ordinary down there. Apart from composure on the ball (often to no effect), he just doesn't do enough to stand out these days imo. I genuinely hope I'm wrong.
  7. We have no money and a rumoured £30m+ debt. We should spend a little and pay back a lot. Sad, but true.
  8. sad sad story, just shows you........
  9. No idea until we see the draw tbh. You never know.
  10. I never even noticed that stripe on the back of the shorts The goalie dummy was definitely not there when I went in, maybe in the back shagging something
  11. Was able to pop into the megastore at Ibrox today incidentally. Couldn't see any new strips for sale but they have 10 manekins lined up in the full kit by the door. The kit looks good in real life, shorts are nice, they have the wee Rangers Charity Foundation scarf logo (no writing) round the back on the RHS. The socks are strictly red and black, no flashes or whatever.
  12. Boyd has earned a new contract IMO. It's been a while since was had anybody score the number of goals he does, season after season, and his game has definitely improved. I hope he keeps it up and continues living the dream.
  13. Argyle St one is still there, but not been in recently. Its branded JJB/Rangers. I believe all the others are gone apart from the one at Ibrox
  14. Hello good evening and welcome mate
  15. If its profitible for them, then no mate but its impossible to tell. They must be regretting giving us £18m up front, but that's sunk now so it doesn't affect the current situation. I think it's the other way round. Rangers just dont need this hassle, although we do need the money. I wonder what the script is here anyway? 4-6 weeks delay? Sounds like they have run out of cash, which considering recent announcements is not a surprise. It might be only a matter of time.
  16. I'd definitely keep Novo and Boyd. They've both earned it.
  17. The laws of averages and skintness tells you that most of the stuff in this article is pish.
  18. Me too. Would definitely buy a Rangers version of that!!! Ultimate in cool IMO. Don't really like what I see much, but you can't judge till you see it for real for yourself so we'll wait and see. Everybody's taste is different anyway.
  19. When you think about patterns of play and all the permutations (got the ball , not got the ball) its actually quite hard to write it all down without missing things It's like the 4-5-1 thing supposedly actually being a 4-3-3 when you have the ball. But unless you have the right players who make the right moves, it basically doesn't work like that. When Boyd was stuck up front on his own so much (or Darcheville, Cousin etc) it rarely looked like 4-3-3, which is why Smith was getting so much stick and we were dull to watch. So Frankie, you did well!! Don't get me wrong, I'd love the excitement of 4-3-3, as I think most people would, If it's what we went for, I'd support it fully but there's no point in kidding on it's a fully flexible system when in reality nothing ever seems to work out like that.
  20. Interesting idea, sounds nice. How would this work though, against teams playing 4-4-2 or even 4-5-1 against us? Due to overall lack of flair and quality in the SPL, much of our games seem to be played in the midfield and to be out-numbered wouldn't help us when it turns into a scrap. I know 'we are Rangers' etc but being outnumbered is being outnumbered.
  21. Unless they get a handful of the best English players to mix in with the expensive foreigners they will never achieve anything ike the success their budget demands.
  22. Not good. But I assume the club knew about the possibility and decided to take the chance. On that basis, I expect them to have contingency in place for the start of the season. It would be criminal not to.
