Ali Crawford according to jellybeans on FF.
Cue a million cries of "not Rangers class".
Looked decent enough anytime he's faced us imho.
Not sure he's what we need right now, but he's absolutely a good player and wouldn't harm to have him in the squad.

I think it can be easily argued that BF and KB had more success than PLG in the following years after the latter walked.0

what's his record in the last 10 years...........anyone be arsed looking it up
The very fact we have to google him says it all.

Sure enough, the first reply shows the way of every Boyd thread that ever existed.
127 goals for the Glasgow Rangers.
All I know about Le Guen since leaving Rangers is that he is still alive, I think.

In my time of watching Rangers players I'd say were world class either when they were with us or after
In no order:
Brian Laudrup
Paul Gascoigne
Alexei Mikhailichenko
Rino Gattuso (after he left us)
Lots more perhaps verge Caniggia was a special player and had his issues earlier in his career I felt lucky to see him play for us, Kanchelskis too though he never hit the heights with us he did earlier in his career.
Caniggia was never world class, at least by my definition, but it has to be said - what a football player. If he was winding down with us, how good was he in his twenties?
I'll never forget him beating Lennon to the ball in the 2003 League Cup Final, despite Lennon having a 60 yard head start.

Supposedly Kusnetsov was the real world-class signing. Still, we'll always have his two New Year goals at Parkhead.

Sigh. I don't wish to be too judgmental here, but an 18-year-old with a double-barrelled surname from Aston Villa is not going to take us back to where we belong.
And now that I have posted this, watch as the bold Hepburn-Murphy becomes the next Wayne Rooney.

Ra Sellik have put a lot of effort into building and maintaining a cross party raft of political support. This vessel has sailed for at least the last forty years. It's a modern take on gun boat diplomacy, upset ra Sellik-minded and the shells of criticism are lobbed from all sides.
Meanwhile, there is room in the Rangers supporting political pedalo, only one MSP out of 129 MSPs admits to supporting Rangers. Partick Thistle can fill a rigid raider with the support of 12 MSPs.
And doesn't that say it all. The country's premier club, and only one parliamentary representative will come out and admit to supporting them.

However, while I understand some of the reasons why players walked away in 2012, personally I don't really want any of them back.
I hear this a lot, and while it's now been five years, Steven Naismith was an absolute Rolls Royce of a player. Had we been re-established as the top team, I wouldn't be interested in taking anyone back, but there's one or two that could help us right now.

The annoying thing for me is that I think Garner would be great in a front two. I thought he started well v unwashed and it's clear his best performances have been v the top sides.
Waggy has definitely had a few "lunchtime specials" and MOH should really spend less time shaving his body(Halliday reports) and more time training. MOH is a 500k signing from a 3rd rate side with gates of 2k. A superstar he is not!
Hopefully someone else will come good however none of them have anywhere near the work ethic of Garner.
Don't get me wrong, I want it to work out for O'Halloran. But he strikes me as someone who will need to work once he retires from football. Cristiano Ronaldo can get his eyebrows done every day if he wants, but Michael O'Halloran? If I'm being harsh, he's actually achieved nothing as a footballer.

I'm all up for a bit of loan action until the summer transfer window. The Scottish Cup is massive for us this season.

Walter it's from our staunch friends at VB, not Gersnet.
VB would have us mere Gersnetters down as '****s'. I believe to register on VB these days one needs to be 'vouched' for
EDIT:- Whoops, 't a i g' obviously raises a sniff from the Gersnet hounds

That is why I have him in my real world class players that were really a class above the rest. Even Zidane does not get into that group for me. My father would have had Puskás in that list but I can't remember seeing him.
It's so hard to say. Many eras passed me by on account of not being born. The thing that I always noticed with Zidane was that he could have eight men round him, hip-high tackles flying in, and he just danced around teams, the ball glued to his feet. He was far superior to the likes of Giggs, for example. A real one-off.

Celtic fans complaining about the Offensive Behaviour Act. A truly beautiful irony.

I'm passing on an informed rumour from a reasonable source here - apparently O'Halloran believes he is a superstar. While others are getting down to extra work after training he is sitting down texting on his phone. Waghorn despite being told to quit it , is continuing to try to bulk up. That isn't going down too well either.
To be honest I'm not sure whether to believe it or not. Please don't ask for the source guys because I won't say.
That wouldn't surprise me. When O'Halloran said in a Rangers TV interview that he has his hair done once a week I just thought 'oh FFS'.
Waghorn is a stone away from rugby league.

Those options are certainly better than the name I keep getting whispered in my ear - Lafferty.
Not heard that one myself. Lafferty is a cut above what we have right now. Or at least he was five years ago.

I'm not overly concerned. We actually have options up front. Time for Waggy and Dodoo to step up. Waghorn should have started on Saturday.

I'll just say there are one or two reasons why I am glad I no longer live in Scotland.

The compliance officer only looks at dives if it wins a penalty or leads to a goal.
Or concerns a Rangers player, naturally.

Aye it was awrite.

Could do with him back as I am not convinced with Dodoo and ages are about same so due a chance.
If Forrester had passed the bloody ball, I'm not sure how many would be questioning Dodoo.

Look at the state of the Broomloan. That'll need the full fumigation treatment before the next home game.

Brentford players or ex-players.
EPL players who were good in 2005.
Loan players from EPL youth squads.
I get that we have financial constraints, but is it just me, or do we lack a little imagination in our recruitment policy?

Funny season that, 2010/11. By Spring we were struggling. By the time of the League Cup Final, we were massive underdogs and Celtic were going to steamroller us on their way to a treble, they had far more quality, we were in decline, blah blah blah. We won the cup, the arse fell out of Celtic and we suddenly started playing some great football. Funny old game football.

Rangers players didn’t get poor Paul Le Guen the boot with an underhand revolt…

You would have had so much fun watching Rangers without Barry Ferguson from 1998 to 2009.
At the very least, you could half the trophies as a start.
He was magnificent.
