I'm not saying Miller has the first touch of Messi but at least he makes contact with the ball whereas Pena lets it slip under his studs. If you call that control you and I have very different ideas of what control actually means.0 -

He's so inconsistent though and is shattered after half an hour.is this the Windass with 3 goals in the last 4 games ? at least someone seems to know the way to goal0 -
I'd take him as a coach but I don't think he's done anything of note managerially (that a word?) to deserve be manager of Rangers.Thought this deserved a thread of it's own!.Must listen: Ray Wilkins reveals he wants Rangers return in passionate talkSPORT interview.

Windass is another waste of a jersey.Same could be said for Windass and Miller, both of whom have scored less goals.0 -

Pena couldn't trap the Golden Gate Bridge then.Miller couldn't trap the Kingston Bridge.0 -
Ray Wilkins has thrown his hat into the ring for the job.

At least Miller controls the ball. Pena lets it go under his studs.Miller's 2nd touch is almost always a tackle. At least Carlton Cole was a midfielder who didn't have any great expectations of a decent 1st touch.... Miller is supposed to be a striker where 1st touch is crucial.I reckon my Mrs could control the ball better than Miller - and she is shite !

I don't see it like that. He's not good enough so shouldn't be near he team. We need 11 players on the pitch, he's worse than a man down.I don't think we can afford not to play him.Yes, we know he's inconsistent, lacks sharpness and is somewhat of a luxury. But he's our most expensive player and needs to be persevered with unless we want to lose the thick end of £3m.

I totally get why Murty thinks that. I wouldn't trust him either. The amount of times he gives possession away because his 1st touch is either extremely bad or non existent.Simple! he doesnt trust him or believe in him. He would rather rely on Miller!0 -
Gribz mate, i hope you're well. Why is McLeish the sudden leader? He cant get a job in england after Egypt, Belguim, Villa and Forest....why would that equate to be all of a sudden the Rangers job. He left a long time ago. He is an impact manager. Yet he would probably bring in McCulloch and my Baw as assistants. They will kill most of the squad. Why is Michael Laudrup or Frank de Boer not being pursued. The later was never a match for a dog eat dog team like Palace and he was stupid to go there.
Laudrup or De Boer for me.
What we don't need is an arrogant Dutch manager who'll refuse to adapt if things aren't going his/our way. FdB would be a huge gamble and one I don't think we can be taking. We need someone like Allardyce who'll get the players playing as a unit and make us hard to beat. Right now the performance isn't important, it's getting the results.
It's just a shame a 6e hear old Allardyce is commanding so much a week on wages.

He wasn't even the worst. Ostenstad, Jeffers, Maniero To name a few. His signings were embarrassing. For some reason I can't think about McLeish without seeing Olivier Bernard. It's that bad.0 -

Jeffers? The fox in the box.Who was the guy that was a kid star coming through the ranks at Everton but couldn't kick his arse with us? I am hopeless with names.Sorry. I started typing then began eating my dinner and forgot to press post until it was too late.

Well Herrera's record at his previous clubs is terrible and Pena just looks like a very average footballer. Nothing they've done so far in their short Rangers careers even remotely comes close to what Flo did. I'm not even going to give either time to settle in because it won't make a difference.Who's to say Herrera & Pena aren't good footballers, but it's just not working out for them at Rangers???There has been countless examples of players arriving at a team with an excellent reputation, never to fulfil it, but rediscover it when they move on. Personally, I would prefer to see either Pena or Herrera in the team before Miller.

To hide your ugly face from scaring people or to protect you from the masses?Moved just over the border into Germany. Even the woman of ill repute reported me to #metoo. I would need to take a pillow case to put over my head these days.0 -
Yeah we're all good. Got 2 sons now 6 and 2 which is tough at times but they're decent wee spuds I suppose.Yeah, still here - the family have moved back to Scotland so I am living the single life Not all its cracked up to be in honesty.Need to pay a mortgage somehow though
How are the family ?
So who's still kicking about from 2 or 3 or maybe 4 or 5 years ago? I can't even remember when I stopped being a 'regular' on gersnet?

Flo was a very good footballer. For whatever reason it never worked out for him at Rangers. Pena and to a lesser extent Herrera, are both poor footballers.Yes together with Herrera they must be the biggest waste of money since Flo.0 -
Thanks Pete. Are you still kicking about the Dutch cafes and lady shops?Hey welcome back mate. I hope all is well with you and the family.0 -
All good mate, thanks. You still in Bermuda?Blast from the past - how are things Gav ?0 -

Is he? His flaws far outweigh any positives he brings to the game.He is okay as long as it hits his head.0 -
What a rotten match. All Motherwell have is fight and dig. Celtic were poor. The referee ruined the game. He got just about every big decision wrong.

What a terrible footballer and to think Pedro wasted money on him. I've never seen a professional footballer with such a poor first touch as him. Nothing more to say really.

As much as the atmosphere in modern day football stadiums (possibly more to do with fans) is terrible I'm glad I started going to Ibrox when it was a lot safer.

Alex McLeish. What a huge backwards step that would be to appoint him. The man who played Hughes, Namouchi and Malcolm in a midfield 3 in a must win game.
He's on the managerial scrapheap for a reason.

Pena starts. I hope he proves me wrong this season but I just don't see it.
