Then we reached the last 16 back to back and reached a final with a load of bosmans and players bought for 6 figures (or 5 including Kamara). Aye pound for pound we're probably the best performing club in Europe over the last 5 years - you'd get derided for saying it but I think there's a serious case for it. Scottish clubs weren't meant to get to European finals in 2008 yet alone 2022, yet we did and did it with bosmans, loans and 6 figure signings. We're used to it and it's not like we need flowers but not enough is made of it imo, we're pretty much solely giving hope to clubs in Europe with less than 100m in revenue that they can win major European honours. Even more mental when you consider Fashion was probably our most consistent performer along with Todd from when Beale came in to pre season. I'll always have time for Fashion, at least with him he worked his bollocks off when wearing the shirt - his shots were wayward at times and he chased his touch a fair bit but he contributed regularly and gave his all. There's been plenty of chancers and shitebags over the last decade who've played for our club, Fashion isn't one of them. Best of luck to the man.

He'd have been sent to the monitor with 'possible red card' ringing in his ear I should imagine, I'd love for you to be correct and that he's simply been told to have a second look but they're usually given an indication of what the outcome should be. You've heard Carragher and Neville say this about VAR in the prem and they can listen in on the VAR on comms. Unless it's changed of course, which it should, but the ref just having a second look with no prejudice or bias towards an outcome from the control room isn't the protocol as far as I'm aware.
