  1. Hardly played last season when we signed him, when he did it was usually as a sub. I was astounded when he was given another year.
  2. Bullshit McCoist had an input in every player he signed and would have had his idea what they were worth. Kevin Kyle never said he had a meeting with the board, his meeting was with McCoist and when he asked for £2k Ally said "nae bother". I know the same thing happened with another player on much higher wages, it's highly unlikely this would be two in isolation. At best Green used McCoist as a useful idiot or at worst McCoist saw it as a chance to make a right few quid if he went along with it. No matter who has appeared on the scene, McCoist at least I Initially said they were "good guys". To quote "I won't make a decision that is detrimental to the club". Paying Kevin Kyle £2k a week isn't detrimental to the club ?
  3. Ally's legacy a squad that's virtually worth feck all, he'll still get is £14k for this week though so why should he bother. That's not even considering the inflated wages he sanctioned for most of this squad. Around 40 outfield players at 17 and above of which THREE are naturally left footed, all are left backs and one is an 18 year old that's been injured for a year. It would be funny if it wasn't so serious, it could hit double figures against this team.
  4. Durie and Kirkwood in the dugout. Not sure who was really in charge before, Durie and Sinclair stood at opposite sides of the dugout and rarely seemed to communicate. Durie was much more vocal last night and for once seemed to be "coaching" To be fair didn't lump the ball up the park 1st half and should have been in front. Reverted to type in second half. Basically they couldn't get the ball off a slick passing Falkirk side even before Junior got injured. Falkirk used 4 over age players to our five, but they also started with three u17's as were the three subs (One being an U16). Rangers had one U17 in the whole squad. Falikrk had a 16 year old centre back playing at centre back, we had a 16 year old right footed centre back playing at left-back !! We have in the region of 40 outfield players at 17 and above and only three of these players are naturally left footed, Lee Wallace, Steven Smith and Jamie Mills (who has been injured for a year). If that's not mismanagement of the football side I don't know what is. The damage McCoist and Sinclair have done on the playing side won't be reversed over night, these boys have been told to "hit the channels " for years. If Falkirk can produce a young passing side why cant we.
  5. Report on tonight's Development League game Strong Side Loses At Falkirk http://rfcyouths.wordpress.com/2014/12/22/strong-side-loses-at-falkirk/
  6. McCoist is going, bring in who ever the choice for the new manager is now (call him Director of Football or what ever you like). Let him deal with the contracts of who he wants to keep and more importantly allow him to start work looking at new signings, bosmans etc. We surely can't let that clown award new contracts or sign new players for next season.
  7. Report on tonight's Glasgow Cup game http://rfcyouths.wordpress.com/2014/12/15/late-glasgow-cup-winner/
  8. Report on today's Under 13's game http://rfcyouths.wordpress.com/2014/12/14/13s-provide-this-weekends-youth-football-fix/ Seems Sinky and Billy McLaren are going/gone neither is a great loss. Craig Mulholland will be in charge, I would think that could change when a new manager comes in and would want to appoint his own HOY.
  9. They are stretching it a bit claiming credit for Gary Mackay-Steven who was at Ross County, Liverpool, Fulham and Airdrie before he landed at Tannadice.
  10. Not sure how they came to the 34k per season figure as the rules are pretty clear. This now means that anyone thinking of following a similar route may not have any club willing to take the chance.

    Who then?

We would all have a big list of who we would like to go in January, unfortunately contracts will dictate much of what happens. Players like Dean Shiels and Marius Zaliukas are contracted for next season and in Arnold Peralta's case another two years. Arthur Numan would be an imaginative appointment and somehow I couldn't imagine his teams lumping the ball up the park. A lot has been said about the cost of getting rid of McCoist, but the surge of interest the right appointment would create could nullify that. Just imagine if they could persuade Laudrup to come on board what impact that would have on attendances. Well Ally comes out and says we were "good" for 35 minutes on Saturday he really is taking the piss or has totally lost it.
  12. Report on today's youth cup tie and this morning's 15's game http://rfcyouths.wordpress.com/2014/12/07/youths-progress-in-cup-2/ I see the official site has caught up, I wonder where they got that from ? Even listed in the formation but somehow missed copying across the fact Scott Roberts came on as a sub. http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/academy-news/item/8226-u20-queen-of-the-south-02-rangers
  13. Report on tonight's 17's game http://rfcyouths.wordpress.com/2014/12/04/well-at-least-the-17s-won/
  14. Embarrassed by the club two nights running Charlie Telfer Scotland's young player of the month, tells it how it is McCoist and his footballing dinosaurs are still in post the morning Team's Christmas Night Oot must be sometime soon, I'm sure they have a great time.
  15. I accept they did put a report up eventually which is pretty unusual, for the previous three games they tailored mine.
  16. Not being sarcastic Let me get this right, you have never seen any of Sinky's teams play, but you know things ain't that bad ?
  17. I am sure the youth setup looks fantastic from Berlin, having never seen a Hertha youth team play I wouldn't dream of commenting from Glasgow, as my opinions would be irrelevant. Two defeats to Hearts and one to Hibs, Ramsdens cup to Raith, defeats to bands of plumbers and joiners at Ibrox all constitute such reverses to me. Plenty clubs report on every game, including defeats, even heavy ones.
  18. Recruitment isn't the problem a lot of these players are decent players, but are no better than they were 2 years ago their development has stalled. There are talented players in every age group, the 14's and 15's particularly, but once they are under the wings of the senior youth coaches they will be told to "hit the channells" and any notion of passing will stop. Not a word on the official website so last night didn't happen, if they ignore it, it will go away. What needs to change ? On the football side everything.
  19. Although Stoney and Walsh only played first half, maybe something to do with their loan agreements. Those to attacking midfielders were replaced with Ryan Finnie (a full back) and Kris Gibson (a centre back). Now well into a second season at this level without ONE left footed player in the squad. Can there be a squad anywhere in a similar position ?
  20. I have been warning what I've been watching under the current regime for quite a while. Some people who have probably never seen one of his teams come on and defend him. The decline will continue.
