  2. Scottish football is dying, a quick look at the Killie team confirms this and another reason for dwindling crowds Their four summer signings highlight the level of our top divsion Mark Connolly - Free Tarnsfer from Crawley Town Chris Chantler - Free Transfer from Carlisle United Tope Obadeyi - Free Transfer from Bury Lee Miller - Free transfer from Carlisle United
  3. Not form me, look at his cv, lasts little time anywhere and has achieved little. Under his tenure Scotland ceased to have any competitive youth football. Manipualted the development league to create space for his "acadamies" the latest at the expense of Queen's Park, one of the better youth setups. It probably would mean the end of Sinky's tenure as I gather they have had a few differences of opinion.

  6. An interesting article about Andy Robertson and former Rangers player Lewis Morgan. Morgy is a talented, skillful player although was always one of the smallest, Having seen him in the recent Development Game although he is no giant he is certainly developed physically. Gives an insight into Sinky's methods. I was sorry to see Lewis being released, but wasn't surprised as I watched him sidelined by bigger less skillful players. http://www.youthfootballscotland.co.uk/component/k2/item/9646-the-exit-trials-scottish-football-s-hunger-games.html
  7. I've been going about Ryan for quite a while, but I have to say his last two games haven't been his best.

  9. Compensation Rules are clear but it is nowhere near 200k Looking at the SPFL rules it would appear the 'basic' development fee is as follows: £5k per year from age 11-14 when previous club was in top league £3k per year from age 12-14 when previous club was in lower leagues £10k per year from age 15-19 when previous club was in top league £6k per year for age 15 year when previous club was in lower leagues £9k per year from age 16-19 when previous club was in lower leagues Its fairly straight forward to roughly calculate the figure we are due It goes to a tribunal if one of the two parties dispute the statutory figure, then both clubs put forward thier case justifying their figure. If were a cross border transfer the compensation is a good bit higher, so if he had gone south its around €320k The real culprits here is whoever "forgot" about his contract and the managment/coaching staff who refused to promote any young players one the leage was won last season. For the Manager to come out and say he had to play an injured Jon Daly because he had nobody else is embarassing. He could have played a young striker or even Jig upfront and one of the many young centre backs we have. But Ally had to get his unbeaten season even if it did finish with a draw against what was basically a Dunfermline youth team. Better get used to it could be another couple this summer.

  14. Supposed to be four games against Celtic this weekend, at the moment of 17's game survives. Rangers definitely called off the 13's, which was only called off last night. A lot of unhappy players and parents. Sinclair running scared of them apparently, he wasn't happy about score and performance in a bounce game so cancelled Sunday's game. Also heard it was Rangers that called of 15's as Sinclair wants to use a couple of 15's in the 17's game. So didn't want to play them at 15's with a weakened team. Don't know the who's or why's the 14's game was called off.
  15. Aidan Wilson & Liam Burt played in the opener against Northern Ireland, which Scotland lost 2-1 Liam Burt, Jamie Barjonas and Zak Rudden played against Wales with Jack Thomson an unused sub, again Scotland lost 2-1 Grant Nelson and Sam Jamieson were a bit unlucky not to be selected in one of these squads. Jack Thomson and Zak Rudden are U15 so will be eligible again next year. Freeman, Marku and Aitchison are also U15's not sure if there are any others, so its a young squad.
  16. A game is being played here Rangers are asking for a higher fee so Dundee United have countered that by offering less. The likely outcome is Rangers will receive that statutory compensation, 5K per year up to U15's, and 10k per year there after, so the fee will be around 60k. United hold all the aces since he was out of contract when they made him an offer, Rangers apparently forgot it was running out and only made an offer after he had received one from Dundee United. Rangers fans better get used to it, at least two youth players we would rather keep will leave in the summer unless there is a big change of mind, they have declined extensions. To further highlight our failings Falkirk could take up to £4 million on add on fees for the sale of Murray Wallace, Jay Fulton, Conor McGrandles and Stephen Kingsley, a couple of the clauses have already kicked in this season. Sinclair released THREE of them !!! Only Kingsley wasn't a youth player at Rangers. The following players all released by Sinclair were in SPL Premiership squads at the weekend;- Chris Johnston & Mark O'Hara (Kilmarnock), Sean Kelly, Kenny McLean, Thomas Reilly, Mark Williams, Jack Baird & Lewis Morgan (all St.Mirren), Gary Fraser (Partick Thistle), Blair Spittal (Dundee United), Blair Currie (Hamilton Accies) and the team setting the pace in our league included Robbie Buchanan. Of that list only Blair Currie was deemed worthy of a pro contract by Sinclair, and people wonder why a number of our youth players want to leave. At a time when our expenditure is unsustainable he is reputed to be in the top 5 earners at the club.
