  1. haha so it was! what a dick (me). Well in that case, yes it's odd for a celtic fan to be raising this when there's so much else to reflect on following the games(s) midweek, so i see what the 'power of suggestion' comments mean. In other words, shit-stirring.
  2. I though Ian's article was fair commment. But; when I heard KB saying what he did this week I wondered if he's finnaly gotten used to the idea that he'll play as and when the manager picks him. If he starts the majority of games in a season and is a playing sub in another chunk, keeps scoring 30+ goals and picks up a lot of money in the process, maybe he's happy with that. Maybe he knows his limitations, the benefits of being at Ibrox and how he'd feel if he went somewhere else. Maybe he just likes his life. If all that's true, we have a perfect situation and it comes down to the manager picking him at the right times.
  3. Thanks Shroomz. Versus Zaragoza; all good goals, but all helped by shocking defending, missing balls and leaving wide-open spaces. They do look fast so we'll need to be tight.
  4. Don't see much of them myself, not a team I ever look out for. Sevilla ....................Unirea Urziceni 2 .........Goals scored ........0 7 .........Shots on target ....1 5 .........Shots wide ..........5 3 .........Shots blocked ......2 1 ..........Yellow card........ 4 0 ...........Red card........... 0 15 .......Fouls committed... 16 6 .............Corners ...........1 1 ............Offsides ...........0 34' 7''..... Ball. Poss. (time) 22' 19'' 60% .......Ball. Poss. (%)... 40% Anybody got anything they can share, discuss, back-up? * UEFA website is excellent * http://www.uefa.com/competitions/ucl/fixturesresults/round=2000028/match=2000369/report=st.html
  5. Ah I see... well that's a different story mate.......
  6. That's what we'll find out when he's properly tested mate. He specifically said this year it wasn't about money and that's why he wanted to stay here - to play in the CL. If we win the SPL this season and no EPL top 5 are in for him then he's got a decision to make. Unless a Stuttgart-level club come in for him or something like that, where he can probably get big money and CL football. If he goes to a Villa/Spurs/Everton then he's taking his chances on his own ability to get a further move up. If not, he's in the EPL on big cash but not doing anything in Europe. We'll see!
  7. If you are Boogie, seriously, what are your career options In January or May? If he wants CL and EPL at the same time then he's looking at joining one of only 5 clubs, where the CH's are generally of a very high standard indeed. I honestly don't see how he can go from Charlton to Rangers for a short period and then suddenly find himself at Arsenal or whatever. The top clubs in England are also amongst the top clubs in the CL each season too - that means they are amongst the very top players in Europe. It's a difficult one for him - I can see him going abroad again tbh because I doubt any of the big 5 in England will be in for him unless he does something remarkable in Europe in a successful Rangers team. Not slagging the guy ability-wise, but I just don't see what he's done to merit being bracketed as truly top-drawer. So I don't see that his CL/EPL dream is going to happen unless it's after another in-between move.
  8. In some ways yeah, but playing on front of 10,000 at Killie (at least half of which are Rangers fans) may possibly be better than 50,000 at Ibrox. We won the game 4-0 there last year.
  9. Borrowed from FF - an article done by OOA and Laudrup1 about a month ago reviewing all our young players in light of our thin squad; Danny Wilson is the real star pick of the bunch for me, even more so than Fleck. Ive seen him play in the 19s since he was 15, like Fleck. His passing is sensational. 60 yards cross field balls get launched onto the wide players toes almost as the norm. He reads a game brilliantly too. Got the stature the modern day player needs too, like Ness. I cant praise him highly enough. Defenders get less of the headlines I suppose but hell be a real star for us. Of that I have no doubt. Could well see him being bled into the team at left back similar in a sense to how Gough began his professional career at Dundee Utd before moving into the middle. If Danny doesnt make it with us, somethings gone sadly wrong. never seen the lad play myself so can't comment, but this is what a couple of guys who have seen him have got to say. Quite encouraging if true.
  10. Any word on DW? Said on the radio this morning that he was getting until midday to declare himself fit or otherwise.
  11. Well we all knew this was coming didn't we? Very unlucky for it to have happened already - let's hope we can find a way round it. M'on the Rangers!
  12. Maineflyer What can I say? Firstly thank you for your kind words. I will do my best to do my best, that's all I can do. Without avoiding the subject and having read some threads now, I'm aware of your quest/position regarding membership numbers etc etc etc. I'd have to say that being new I'm not familiar with such things and also that I don't really fancy getting involved in who-said-what-why-when-and-to-who issues. I'm sure you understand. The co-opting thing is easy to answer. I put myself about on-line, expressed an interest, exchanged countless PM's with present (and past) members of the Trust board; was invited to a couple of events earlier this year, went along myself, met people, chewed the fat, discussed things of mutual interest etc. Then I sent in my CV and a note by way of application, then I met up with a few of the people again and the process was able to be completed. Basically I thought about it for a long time then I went out of my way to get involved, without knowing or having met any of the board members 1-1. Hope that's a sufficient explanation. Cheers
  13. Don't start! That may be true, however I am viewing the AGM as day 1, perhaps I should have worded it differently. Just to clear things up.
  14. Thanks mate. I'd like to think that with the passage of time and the various comings & goings now, that everyone can begin to put things behind them and see if we can move into a new phase. Either way, I wasn't involved previously so I'm not gonna be carrying all that around with me. There's lots going on, there's lots to talk about and there's lots to be done! Here's to the Rangers!
  15. Anyone think Burley has 'got the dressing room back'?
  16. Alright guys. I'm one of the two (not four btw) unsuspecting souls who will be formally joining the RST board at the AGM so I thought I'd stand up and say hello. I intend to do my own bidding and hopefully make a positive contribution to the Trust and ultimately to Rangers FC via our loyal supporters. Cheers! :spl:
