  1. Another three spring to mind too:- Well Connected Man
  2. Wee bit of friday fun for you - see how many Tierry can stick past the tattie-munchers this time! http://www.jeu-de-main.com/ I managed 41-1 after 3 goes, so I'm happy enough with that
  3. Would be fascinating to just see all that from the inside for a day.
  4. Can anyone explain what the guys might actually do on the day they are in?
  5. In my previous job the operational projects people used to have an expression for the dreaded tripartite alliance. It went something like.... "when you want to do something to improve the service for the customer, HR come along and boot you in the balls, IT rip your head off with a machete then Finance come along and piss down the hole in your neck". A little unfair on the HR people I thought.
  6. Thought you'd be on this thread sharpish mate What happend to the Falkirk training discussion elsewhere? Never saw how that developed.....
  7. Article in the ET today. Makes interesting reading and sounds quite positive. SCOTTISH football, on the whole, might be years away from making radical plans to produce something akin to the Dutch game's prolific production line of talent. But Rangers are already two years down the line with a Netherlands-inspired initiative which the Ibrox club are hoping could help pave the way for a new wave of talented youngsters making the breakthrough to the first-team Full article here... http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/display.var.2535277.0.0.php
  8. Sorry Frankie, it would be inappropriate for me to speak for Andy Kerr or the Assembly on a forum. It's nothing to worry about though.
  9. as I say mate, one for the future. Best to keep all useful channels in place right now, every if they are many.
  10. Indeed, there is a large overlap. However the Assembly is funded by RFC and is therefore limited in terms of independence and the Trust is funded by its members and completely independent. More importantly though, the Trust explicitly pursues formal fan representation and ultimately ownership, whereas the Assembly has no constitutionally-stated interest in this. But there is definitely an element of common ground and duplication between these two voluntary groups. One for the future, hopefully.
  11. Superb idea! Cover all bases!
  12. NP mate, definitely no apology required but thank you. Communication could be much better - we know that. It's top of the list.
  13. Sounds like a case of 'right desert, wrong tent'. It happens.
  14. It's just background, Craig.... it helps us build a picture and become more informed. We've spoken to a lot of people recently, some of them directly helpful, some indirectly, some not. We met with the Man U Trust and discussed how they tried and failed, for example. HSV and Espanyol you already know about. Maybe we should tell our members about all the things we do, it's a fair comment. Anyway.....we talked to NUST, we learned some stuff, we liked some of their stuff, we don't agree with some of their stuff and they have come in for some heavy criticism over their pension fund strategy. Look at this for the positive angle on NUST... http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/david-conn-inside-sport-blog/2009/nov/11/newcastleunited-mike-ashley?showAllComments=true On reflection, maybe we should have said we talked to NUST. Possibly
  15. Frankie thank you for posting that. It's perfectly fair and needed to be said because the situations are comparable in some ways but Rangers have not been relegated etc. so the context is completely different in most peoples' eyes. Whether the RST is great or rubbish, it's unhelpful for all of us if we start comparing apples and oranges. The RST has spoken at length with NUST and we understand what they are doing in their situation. Some possible news for them on Friday, from what we understand.
  16. I think I'll suspend judgement on any of that until Spanner comments.
  17. It's all going in the wrong direction with Bougherra Smith must be raging.
  18. Very interesting Frankie, thank you. Fully appreciate there's a limit to notional extrapolation of that data set but it puts us in the ball park to some extent.
  19. OK mate, no problem. There's no point in arguing about what 'regular' is in your mind versus in mine. I was just saying that what I said wasn't yet "absolute nonsense" because the definition of "regular" hadn't been discussed or agreed. I didn't realise there was so much scope for 'regularity' in other peoples' eyes, but in any case your definition & opinion is as valid as mine even if we disagree.
  20. No, actually it is fundamentally NOT what you said. You said the trust approached the club last month and offered to buy shares. In fact the trust did NOT approach the club LAST MONTH and did not offer to BUY SHARES. You also said it the club rejected this because it was an "absurd" time. But seeing as you have the substance and the timing both wrong, the notion that what the trust did was absurd is ... well.... absurd! That is (also part of) the reason why you didn't get an answer to your 40 questions. Apart from the absurdity of asking someone 40 questions is one go, a quick scan of said questions revealed them to be heavily populated with absurd nonsense, ill-informed hear-say and inaccuracies. But the constant power of suggestion gets through eventually, so I'm sure it'll carry on. And on. And on...... I don't know exactly how you get off on all this but might I suggest that instead of barking up the wrong tree you revert to a more natural pass-time - for example howling at the moon. Howllllll Howllllll
  21. Zappa, To be fair, just because you chose to define "regular" in your own terms which are different to mine, doesn't make my guess of up to 2000 "absolute nonsense".
  22. Sorry but you are barking up the wrong tree. The Trust informed the club it had Gersave money and asked to discuss how and when the share purchase arrangements would take place. The club asked the Trust to hang on. The Trust said no problem. None of this was last month. Sounds perfectly reasonable to me.
  23. You should probably have a look in the latest accounts mate.
